When he plays what he really likes, which is what he played on sunday (downtempo and euphoric), its a dark cerebral head music type thing. It is NOT dancefloor music. If you are looking to get crazy on the floor like drum and bass provides, you are watching the wrong guy in Lorin. If you are ready to close your eyes, let everything else go and just simply listen to the tracks then you can truely appreciate Lorin. The fact that you were looking for dj skills in his set is evidence why you couldn't fully appreciate it. PS: drugs help PPS: he is a producer more than a dj |

I have to fully agree with you on this one. Tipper is THE SHIT. He got my vote for best set @ Shambhala. (mike relm was more fun but i gotta go with the guy who made me freak right the fuck out) Bevan: have you heard Tip-Hop (tipper) or Memerizing the Ultra (lorin)? Both of their most recent releases. |

i wasnt a fan of lorin's set on sunday at shambles, but his set saturday at the main stage was so unbelievably rediculous. I couldn't believe how he got the crowd all rockin out as one with some sick ass midtempo madness. It wasn't what I expected, and for me not to be dissapointed when i go see a breaks dj NOT spin breaks, then you know it's rediculous.
UNBELIEVABLE STAGE PRESENCE. I can understand your point on the dj skills bevan, but sometimes you ahve to let that go and enjoy it for what it is. The CD to CD mixing was dissapointing, but that's the only bad thing I could say about Lorin. |

and i wasnt really looking for dj skills, i was just looking for him to live up to the hype he gets. im not gonna hate on all you guys for liking him or nuffin, im just saying, i was thoroughly dissapointed with his performance:hype ratio. that said, we should all go see tipper. |

Lorin is Shambalah... In his heart he holds the essence of the festiville. He is original and different. He is beyond a rave/party DJ hence having a HUGE possie of sub culture followers. His DJ skills are alive in the tracks that he makes and the way he controls the crowd like a muppet master. Both the Village and the Mainstages were at there most packed durign his sets.
