Computer tech people...Help.

hey guys,

I'm considering purchasing an external hard drive for my computer so that I can backup all of my business files and also save music on it.

Have any suggestions as to what companies/brands I should be considering or anything that I should be watching out for?

Cheers in advance!

~Sean

Check out Maxtor. Make sure your computer is USB 2.0 or firewire. USB 1.0 is painstakingly slow for transfers. If you do not have usb 2.0 or firewire. You can get a PCI expension slot that gives you those connections.

maxtor is good, but go with whatever is a good deal. if you have a firewire port on your computer, get a drive with a firewire connection. if not, make sure it at least has usb 2 or it'll have a really slow transfer rate.

I got a 160GB Maxtor external drive, it's where I store all of my MP3s, mixes and albums. I've had mine for like a year, works great. :)
