Akeel - Ecler mixer question 4 U
You are the Ecler rep in these parts?
Question about the Ecler HAK 360 - if a club has the 2 main inputs used already for a 2 CD decks, is there any other input available for a third line-level device? They have a 360 at a club in Chilliwack, not sure why, it's a scratch mixer and nobody scratches there. I would think they'd be better off with a more conventional mixer with more inputs. |

OK. Looking at the manual PDF I'm guessing the "session-in" is for situations like when they want to use 2 mixers in a group DJ situation.
I want to hook up a laptop computer to the mixer so I think maybe I could use the session-in RCAs, so as to avoid disconnecting one of the club's 2 CD players which are normally connected to the standard inputs 1 & 2. |

session-in is essentially a 3rd channel on the mixer. If you're hooking up a laptop, you'll be fine so long as you don't care if it's not controlled by the x-fader or you don't need any eqs or a level fader.
it's designed for daisy-chaining mixers for a 2x4 or 3x6 setup but any rca audio input will work (i.e. laptop, ipod, etc.) |
