If anyone is searching for something to do tonight I'd encourage you to put down your headphones and walk away from the 'electronic' for a night of rockin out!

A good friend of mine is playing a show tonight at The Roxy as a part of New Music West and it should be a great show.

The bands on the bill tonight are The Solution, Armchair Cynics, Marianas Trench, and Faber.

My friend is the lead singer for Faber. These guys won the CFOX seeds competition last year. If you were at the finale show you could easily tell that Faber blew their competition out of the water. Since then they've been signed to 604 Records they've toured across Canada a few times playing with Hedley, MxPx, Thornley, and Hurst to name a few. As far as I know they're just putting the finishing touches on their debut album now. Despite the fact that I've got a friend in the band... I'd definitely hype them either way.

If you want one hell of a live show come on out! Dave's been at this game for a while and really knows how to perform! I'll be there for sure! Show starts early! 8pm!!! Don't be late or miss out!

Well the first band walks on at 8 I believe so it's def. a come out early sort of deal. Although in the same respect if you want a good nights rest the show will probably be over a little earlier too!

At the very least, while I can't speak for the other bands, these guys don't pretend to be anything they're not. They write catchy pop/punk hooks and have fun... 4 regular joes from a small town having some fun.

They aren't emo.... their lives don't suck... they don't sing any songs to slit your wrists to...haha

okay im not coming again.

im all about the emo kids and building them up until they love me, and then breaking them... slowly and painfully.
so they almost kill themselves but chicken out, and they still love me for the rest of their lives and still cry when the song that was playing on his itunes when i broke up with him comes on the radio
