Hardstylin
You work out excessive amounts....
I just started this rigorous training program on Monday. I am still in pain today - the good pain of course. I am worried about going to my class tonight cause I am afraid I am going to suck at it. Any tips on working out the kinks before 5:30? I keep stretching, but it doesn't seem to help. :( |

The best thing to do when starting any new activity is start slow! dont try to kill yourself for the first week or two!!! some things you can try are. -have a bath before bed -pick up an antioxidant pill thats got a bit of everything in it(this should help the most) -maybe get some glutamine (take before bed) i find this cuts down on my soreness ALOT -eat more protien :) also after a week or two or when you start feeling comfortable and confident in you motions and weight you could pick up an ECA stack for those days your iffy about hitting up your activity or just feel tired/lazy. |

diff. person but still god advice.
DOMS is normal a couple days after working a muscle that has been inactive for a while. make sure to properly warm up(HR, BR, muscle temp.) previous to the excercise doing mild yet similar to the class type excercises, and stretch afterwards statically for a min. of 30secs per muscle. hope that helps. thnx for the review :P |

Tonight I met "Misery". In this form, Misery is not an adjective, but a mother fucking noun. Misery, was a 10 foot long pole weighing in at about 120lbs. Which you and your team members carried for over 2kms at a light jog while lifting it up and over your head and holding it there. After the first 20m I was ready to throw in the towel and cry. Then we had to do several sets of mother fucking Misery sit ups. DO YOU KNOW WHAT A MOTHER FUCKING MISERY SIT UP IS?!?!?!?! You lie under Misery, while doing 30 FULL sit ups at a time. Not just crunches, but sit ups. But all whining aside, I don't feel as awful as I did the other night when class was over. ps - I stopped and got Glutamine, Protein Drinks, Ibuprofren, and Epsom Salts...... |

Let me say though, that soldiers of fitness is run by actual cadets....it is effing hardcore. And of course, it is at Jherico so it is super local for me. If you are late, you drop and give 20. If you do something wrong, you drop and give 20. 20 might be.....push-ups, sit-ups, burpies, lunges, or and various other form of punishment. I feel so great and yet so bad all at the same time. UGH. |

Thanks to your link....I found her again! I will ask her though what hers is like if you like..... I am thinking about doing the soldiers again next month, if I do, and it is something you want to do, come join me. It is a lot easier with a friend. ps - Burpies - Everyone's favorite!! Start in a standing position and then squat down so that your hands are placed on the floor. Then kick your legs back so they are behind you and you are in the 'up' position of a push up. Then once again bring your legs back under you (you will then be in a squat position again) and spring up as high as you can into a full jump, followed by returning once again into your squat position so you are ready to kick your legs back to complete the second rep. The Glutamine made a huge difference I think. Do I need to take it every day, or just for a while after I work out? I do feel a little self-councious right now, cause most of the people who are in the course have done it before, and are quite advanced compared to me. I try to keep up with the jogging, but have never ever been a jogger. I am going to try and go out and jog a few KMs this weekend to get a little better in shape. |

and the glutamine is not a supplement you HAVE to take everyday, but i would take 5grams a day regardless just before bed. glut is something your body never really has enough of naturally and it does help ALOT. I also hate jogging!! in fact i doubt i could get outta bed every morning to do it without my ECA pills :) |
