I would come down to your level and fling shit with you, but I just don't have the energy.

But since you are an outsider, looking in, I will give you a bit of insight. Apex is not an easy party to manage. In fact, it is the hardest event to try and organize, that I have ever encountered.

You have 10 promoting egos in one room. Most of them have beef with one another. Try to ask them to get along for 6 months out of the year, and play referee when they don't.

How about the fact that they all think it that "someone else is doing it". The promoters always think that someone else is doing it. I have said in our meetings time and again who we have to thank for the flyering, and it isn't me.

I would love nothing more than to quit the rave scene, and give up Apex. But I won't give it up until I know that the person who is managing Apex does it in a fair manner, and gives every promoter in the city a fair shot at the show. I don't want to see the tradition of Apex tarnished. I know that some of the people who have inquired about the show wouldn't let certain companies on board, companies that make up the fibre of the show.

Shit on me all you want - I have been around for 13 years, and a peon like you isn't going to make me go away.

ps - apex isn't my only event. it is the only one I choose to do.
