The standerd industry amount for a DJ is $100 an hour. Then add cost of renting gear (often their gear)

$300-$400 is cheep! When you concider that the DJ is bringing there own gear and playing for 2-4 hours. Not to mention there not playing what they want, but rather accepting requests for britney spears and meat loaf. Especialy if its around the christmas season and on a weekend.


The only reason rave DJ's often play for free is because their at a party they enjoy being at and think the're on their break to become tiesto.

But who knows... you could get lucky?
