about 4 or 5 yrs ago my neighbour was a tester for EA and they game him copies of the games he tested

I do play testing.... go in and play games for like 2 or 3 hrs and walk out with a free game! I was play testing NBA Live 07 and NFS:Carbon the past couple weeks.

I should be getting my free copy of NHL 07 this week :)

Thank god I don't do QA.... as a job that has to be one of the worst ones out there.

That's not how it is at all.

Teams are seperated into specific areas and they test around the whole game
audio
gameplay
database
AI
game modes

and there's others depending on the type of game.

But you're right, it is repedative as shit.

My close friend (who is also one of Vancouver best Djs) is in management @ EA. Even he had to line up to order his games from the store (most of the time).
