the state of hip hop today + NaS and Ghostface CDs

yo first of all i have to say is im tired of this sotuhern jiggy rap bullshit. this shity sounds like disco, its gonna die just like it once mufukahs get sick of this fad.its a punch of wack *****s takin a loop and singn' some wack ass hootie hoooo wack bullshit lyrics. yo party songs are good but ive had enuff of this shit. yo i like that lil scrappy song money in the bank, thats a good song and i like about 30% of young buck mike jones and paul wall's shit but young jeezy coming after nas and sayin he dosnt have any street cred? holy shit, know your place you punk.

oh yeah and jay z's cd sucks ass, just like all the other shit he has been putting up for the last, i dunno ten years...that fucker should stick to counting his money and crying over beyonce, and the diss song he made to jim jones, shit it was even more wack then jim jones and his crew.

as for ghostface killah's more fish cd...i have to stand by him, its good, even better then fishscale about as good as supreme clientele more or less..sayin it is better then fishscale isnt saying much tho because i think pretty toney and bulletproof wallets were better cds but mufukahs slept on those.

NaS cd is good too, but not as good as ghost's, and that hip hop is dead is getting mad play, i wonder how much money the a&r boys paid to get that rotated cuz its alright but its not the best.

I just picked up the new Nas CD, I'm liking it. I've always been a fan of Nas, Illmatic was one of the first hip hop albums I ever bought.

I don't get why people can listen to the hiphop is dead track..... he has already used that beat!! remixed on a couple albums I'm thinkin by this point.. this being the 3rd, maybe 2nd tho. either way.... plaaaayed.

there are some really good tracks on that album IMO though. why are the good songs on albums never the popular one? bah.

the ghostface album is pretty good. way better than fishscale that's for sure. I dig that Shawn Wigs track hold on.. soooo chill.

I also hate all the dirty south crunk runnin shit bling bling bullshit.. it's ruining hiphop. (not like that's anything new)

New young buck album is waaack just so you know "on the corner" - how many times do we need to hear the same shit?

new Bizzy Bone is not bad. couple decent tracks, at least he raps a bit about life and spirituality n shit..

new mos def.. hm I dno, somethin you really need to get into.

new BIG .. resurrection type shizz, meh it's all pretty candy ass. Biggy may be rolllin in his grave a lil.

reminds me of the game cd. when that disc dropped and i heard it for the first time i reconized about 3 or 4 beats that have already been played.

because the black market distribution (mixtapes) is taking over.

i find some mixtapes to be better then a lot of retail cd's that have been released lately.

I got that new pac album a while ago

It has 2 songs on it that are VERY good and I'm sure he wouldn't mind about those.. but the rest of the album is very candy-ass/trashy.

I'm excited for the new raekwon OB4CL2, mostly produced by rza and dre with some other beats from j dilla, pete rock, etc. i hope it's going to be good.

wtf was with the new method man album anyways? that was garbage.

ugh... inagaddadavida?

shaun, i gotta disagree on the jay part man. the black album is probably in my top 10-20 albums of all time. his latest steez, not as hot, but i wouldnt say it's wack.

havent heard the new ghost yet, i'll have to dl.

nas, gave it a few more listens, some tracks grew on me - but i still dont think its as hot as the hype.

get familiar muther fuckers - clinton sparks (check out the consequence mix tape he did)

Both great albums. IMO the Nas album is better then Jigga's album. A good album that probally got passed up by most people, Obie Trice's softmore album. Best Hip-hop/rap album of the year.
