Fixing Scratched Vinyl?

is there a way? i mean, i know in my heart that it cant be done... but anyone know of any special crazy tricks? I've got the anti-skate cranked, and the weight a bit up... but not too much luck...

any suggestions?

I always fix skratched records... Trick i leard as a tablist.
Here are 2 methods you can try-

1. Play record.. Right before the skip press downwards on the tonearm of your table onto the record at the very moment your record is about to skip.. this will press the needle into the record and force its way into the groove... Then you do it backwards too... This makes the groove come back into shape.

2. Use a magnafine glass and locate your skip. Use a fine needle to press the groove back into its original possition..

i tried using a fine needle on the scratched area and it worked like a charm! the scratch was right in the middle of the buildup for this track and its pretty irreplaceable. perfect. good as new. =)
