HMV will order in CD's if they don't carry them, Zulu records is pretty good for more obscure records.
Atmosphere should probably be in town by the end of this year - on that note I'd really like to see Grouch and Zion I do a tour together. I think they released an album not too long ago but I can't seem to find it anywhere. |

Hate to break it to you guys, but I doubt Atmosphere is touring this year. Last year I saw them 3 times (in 2006) so I think they're taking this year off. Especially since all the promo money is for pushing Brother Ali's new album and tour.
I haven't heard anything about a new Murs and Slug, but since the first one was '01 and the 2nd was '05, I think we got at least a year to go. If he follows pattern, Feb or Sept of next year he'll start touring. If he starts in Feb, we should see new albums out by the end of the year. If he starts in September, we probably won't see another album out until '08. I've noticed Slug likes to 'warm up' with a pre-tour before the album drops, probably right after it's finalized. I did notice both the Murs and Slug's dropped right before Atmosphere's album (for the last one, they dropped in July, then Atmosphere's album came out in Sept I think) Just my 2 cents. - Keith |

Maybe some rare Atmosphere can ease the pain:
http://www.hadm.net/~keith/playlists/atmosphere I especially like Happy Clown Bad Dub. I'm trying to find the album that '20 Answers' is on (a Murs and Slug track I got on myspace) so I can put that album up as well. Lemme know if you want the mp3s. I wasn't trying to break your heart, but hopefully this helps! Oh, and I love the pic! -k |

^ "As we approach another eve, momentum starts to slow. Finally took the lead, now it's just me and this road, and my car, my keys, my thoughts, my woes. Although I'm low on currency, I've got enough to pay these tolls. Never stop to sleep; I'm afraid of getting towed. Adjust the mirror and the seat, turn up the AM radio. In the egg of the beast it's her veins I followed to finger paint my journey into the center of the yolk. Embrace the grief, provoke me to grow. Chase the geese all across that grassy knoll. Gave up the beef, it was distractin' the flow, and I traded my release for a six-pack of that Stroh's. Raise the seeds, and teach 'em how to bowl. The stains on my sleeve and the direction I go change like the colors of the leaves between the sun and the snow."

Sorry, that's definitely not what I meant, intelligence is a small factor of being a businessman, but it does help. I think it's the distribution deal RSE inked w/ Warner right before Brother Ali's album that finally got him real $$$. I remember on 'The Fifth Element' grand opening video, he jokes about now that he has a business he doesn't have to sleep on friends couches anymore.
Finally they're not paying upfront costs to press CDs. I can't wait to see what being able to find RSE albums in any store will do for their artists. Murs just signed to Warner as well, right before doing Paid Dues a few months ago. Now we have a Paid Dues tour.. Is mainstream record labels finally waking up to independent hip-hop? Can't wait to see FELT on Paid Dues, and at Rock the Bells. |
