the new 50 album is better. *not saying im a huge 50 fan* but the beats on the album are pretty damn good. just a bunch of ego blabbering lyrics though.

naw u gotta see the progression in ye's music and in himself. this album is a lot more "matured" than his past 2 and you can hear it. he's not poppin' out club banging singles on every track. this album is definitely meant to be listened too rather than danced to.

not his best work, but something different.

As far as commercial rap goes, he is one of the best things out there. Again, looking at it from a commercial rap perspective. Commercial rap for years has been all about decent production with shitty lyrics and uninspired rappers.

I'm really not digging the whole creating a lame ass rivalry (that I am sure is mostly fabricated) with another mediocre commercial rapper just to hype up your album so it sells. 50 cent is pretty notorious for doing this already. A ton of people hate 50 cent just enough to spend the 12-15 dollars it will cost to contribute to him leaving the music industry. If your music was good enough to stand on its own, you wouldn't need this bullshit surrounding your album's release.

Soo, i just saw that article and it's hilarious. Fiddy's either sabatauging (sp?) himself or trying to help Kanye's sales.

But what 50 might be saying is that if kanye sells more than fifty in the first week he will quit.

I really do hope there are better rappers than 50 out there. Like, diamonds in the rough.

you either get it or you dont. kanye definitely has a love/hate quality about him. at least he's pushing the boundaries in this so called "mainstream" hip hop, and keeping it real while doing so.

just listen to everything i am. kanye's basically a genius.

man, all that top40 you've been spinning has been getting to your head :).

Personally think Stronger is pretty weak. The Daft Punk sample is played the hell out and it was better when busta did it. And what's up with Kanye always rapping over beats that have vocals?

I did hear Ayers throw down a pretty cool track which took an electro remix of daft punk and it transitioned into Kanye's Stronger - good tempo changer.

killah priest just put out a new album with collabs : nas, immortal technique, cannibus, ras kass etc ..... and is like 10x better than anything kanye would do IMO. better message, lyrics, beats.

that's just 1 example i could name like at least 10 rappers or groups that are putting out new albums (06 or 07) that are way better than kanye, but arguing about who listens to better music is pretty silly. if you really think he's the best then uhh all the power to ya.
