I like Sneaker Pimps. And I've never known trip hop to be at all reminiscent of nuskool.

And Massive Attack.

For Acid Jazz, check out Nightmares on Wax.

Massive Attack, Portishead and Tricky are the big hitters.

You might also try Lamb, Morcheeba, AIM, the Supreme Beings of Leisure... and the Shadow/Lavelle U.N.K.L.E. project is a little bit trip hoppy..

Bristol sound - generally accepted as the innovators of trip hop:

Portishead
Massive Attack
Tricky

Some of the groups that sprung up due to the sucess of Portishead:

Sneaker Pimps
Lamb
Morcheeba
Hooverphonics
Goldfrapp
Mono

Not-exactly trip-hop but still good:
UNKLE
DJ Shadow
DJ Krush
Cibo Matto (one of my favorite groups)
Anything by Automator (Dr. Octagon, Deltron 3030)

Anything on the Ninja Tune label

Anything on the Mo'Wax label

There's plenty more but that should give you a good start

Amon Tobin. Amon fucking Tobin. He's on the Ninja Tune label.

Also highly worth noting: Kid Koala and Bonobo.

I Like Cibo matto. Discovered them through an ex-gf actually, who really liked them ever since she saw them on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Yeah. Really good band.

Damn fine bands, and two of my favourites. Although I'd put Pocket Dwellers more in the random funk category (along with bands like Bullfrog) and Hanuman in the acoustic ethnic jazz category.

Trip-hop, at least to me, always has that electronic feel to it.

Hi, My name is Rhianna and I have a very bad Trip-Hop addiction. It's almost the only thing I listen to.

I have too many groups to list.

W/ out it, I would die.

If you want any from me add me too your msn.

ps. You really need to get Terranova - Plastic Stress & Never

I guess.

However it's not his fault they stopped making good trip-hop.

Portishead really needs to make new music for me.
