i like alot of the grime and more soulful UKG. i think that is mainly because over here, im less exposed to that type of music. i think if i was living in the UK, my tastes would have probably evolved by now.
as far as the hiphop goes, i like alot of it. i find that UK hiphop producers as a whole, are a hell of alot more creative and quite a few of them are on some next level. as far as the mc's go, imo, alot of them really lack in skill. needless to say, there are exceptions to the rule. just my 2 cents. |

lots of dope hiphop coming out of england... i'm a big fan of Ty, Rodney P, Roots Manuva... there's a much more noticable West Indies influence in British rap imo, and as a lover of reggae music i can appreciate that...
LOVE Scenario Records, & The Nextmen who run it.... great production & lots of great MCs associated with that crew. Harmonic 33 is another UK producer that i can't get enough of, although he seems to work with mostly lesser known Stateside MCs. I've beena fan of this guy (aka Mark Pritchard) for years, since he was half of Global Communications w/ Tom Middleton and his Use Of Weapons guise under which he had a few DnB releases on the Droppin Science imprint... |

i've been getting knee deep in the Uk Grime latley, so much as purchasing dizzie rascal Showtime on Vinyl and M.I.A. on c.D.
I dunno, i find that its aquired but its an either love it or hate it thrown down. I match this sound with love, due to my familiar love with dub and hip hop. it makes me grimey(good) inside. *winx* |

nice one id be up for hearing some of that. its cool u can understand it being able to speak german. iv got a mate who is french and he said he even has a hard time understanding french hip hop sometimes depending on what part of france the artist is from and that the word play can be ridiculously complex ,playing around with the Masculine and feminine terms for example.
