hrm - more impressed with mike relm but it's a good showcase of technology at the very least...

the DVJs are pretty amazing technology but the video mixing still seems a little rough at this point - not sure what box he's using for the feed mixing but it would be nice to see some smoother transitions and layering settings for blending the video - seems a bit jumpy right now.

I'm sure the technology will just keep improving over the years. They have a DVJ setup at Long & McQuade on granville which is connected to a Kaoss pad which is pretty cool. Who knew that Kaoss pads could be used to manipulate video too?

The possibilities for video mixing/scratching are going to be pretty endless - love to see it incorporated into FS or serato in the near future and I would especially love to see DJs go one step further beyond just mixing videos of the tracks.

Mike Relm creates custom videos and move clips/tune syncing and even homemade movies in his routines and that's something that can be incredibly entertaining in the near future once people start to really learn the ins and outs of video scratching/mixing...

PS the Bryan Adams/Missy blend is pretty funny...
