i need help, computer question.
ok my problem is that my virus scanner (AVG) currently doesn't open up when i turn on my computer and i'd like it to. i'm currently running Windows 98SE. my mom has showed me this before but she's outa town and can't help me right now. if any of you bright people could help me out that'd be sweet.
thanks a bunch |

press ctrl-alt-delete, check the processes tab for avg processes. if they're there (i think there's 3?), you have no worries. avg can be configured to start at login, but not show up in the system tray (next to the time) - i bet that's your problem. not that it's a problem.
if that's not it, reinstall yo. |

Goto Start>Run type in "msconfig" hit enter.....Goto the Startup tab and make sure "avgcc" has a checkmark in it. Hit "apply" then "close" it will ask you to restart. Say yes. When it comes back up this little box will appear. Check off "Don't show this message again" and hit ok. Done.
