Cyber Night Club who has and has not been there

Just wonder which of you have been down to Cyber and who still hasent.
In my opinion it has the best system in Vancouver next to Gorgomish. The lighting in there is by far the best. lots of room to dance and nice loungy seating. If you havent been down there to see it for yourself you definatly should.

I think it sounds a lot better now ... long as the levels are all normal .

Checked out Danny taylor for a bit last nite .. and as much as i hate trance .. it sounded crystal clear , solid kick to the bass ... lot better then most venue`s ive seen or played at ..

as for best sounding . its obviously gorg. .. worst.. i`d have to say the Standard.

the sound system at cyber is "pretty good" wouldn't consider it the best in the city.... IMO they need some acoustic engineers to do some work in there to reposition the equipment as well as install some sound barriers.

when was the last time you were there?..obiousl;y not in a long time..the whole system is a brand new JBL sound system. To go along with a pioneer djm 800 which changes all the signals it receives to 32 bit digital signal. makes it crystal clear as Stimulant J said.

I beg to differ on both of those.

The acoustics can't even compare to ours at The Plaza, let alone the sheer volume of our sound system.

As far as lighting rigs, I'd say Atlantis has probably the most expensive installation. Although it is anything but new. The set up at Celebrities is pretty unreal and I find it really hard for "Yuk Yuks" to even compare to that.

I think you need to get out a bit more.

havent been to cyber, but ive been to the plaza for a film shoot recently. the sound is pretty neat. they put something on for a scene, i was sitting on the stage and the bass was so loud the fluid in my eyes were vibrating and my ears were itchy.

but the plaza is kind of dirty it needs to be cleaned no offence. but theres dust and gum everywhere, but still a very nice spot.

i would like to check out cyber soooon

That's what happens when a film crew shows up before my cleaners have had a chance to finish after a 600+ saturday night.

You should see what the Roxy looks like with the lights on during the day.

Cybers awsome, it usually pulls in a good crown, theres lots of room to dance and they are always bringing out awsome djs there...scott project there was fucking awsome. Friday nights and Saturday nights are usually pretty solid

Plaza by far is the loudest club in the city ... disturbingly loud.

Every club has its dirty spots .... Anyone seen Richards w/ the lights on ! ? :o

I am not a fan of Cyber.

The sound is mostly crap. Sure it's loud but I usually get actual ear pain and headaches. I had to spend most of Dillinja outside because it was so uncomfortable. Grinding and piercing...distortion and excessive highs. It has been slightly better (I'm not a sound tech, I go by my comfort level and the pleasantness of sound) at the last few Funktion Fridays I have been to, but I still often wind up stuffing toilet paper into my ears. I do remember it sounding nice when Uberzone was there.

I also am not down with the design/decor. It reminds me of Planet Lazer or something. It looks seedy and sketchy, and the paint on the walls is totally tacky.

The doorstaff are great, and the bartenders are nice, but my drink is often made wrong. VODKA AND WATER. How hard is that?! Seriously.

Not a destination club for me at all, but I will go if someone I want to see is playing.
