Z-Trip, Bassnectar, mattthealien

a little, but it's not unexpected... Z's not the type to just walk off and not say anything, of course he's gonna big up the next guy to keep the crowd hyped. not that i think he's being insincere, i'm sure he does appreciate what Lorin does and loves his enthusiasm for the music. It's that enthusiasm that makes me want to like Bassnectar, but his style of DJing and some of his musical choices never fail to put me to sleep.

Z-trip kept me - the jaded scenester dj - dancing right up front and center in the hippie mosh pit for the entire set.

i left about 1/2 hour into bassnectar's set cause it was pretty boring. Some of the tunes were ok but the set and flow was just like molasses compared to the energy and skill that Z brought.

Also I'd much rather see max play than lorin.

Honestly, I wouldn't say this made me a Bassnectar true believer by any stretch. Nice to see he's evolved his sound, but there was still nothing that pushed it outside of what every other dubstep dj in town is doing.

Still think he's ridiculously overhyped, though that was the first time he didn't convince me to leave partway through his set... I guess that's an improvement.

I had an amazing time! However, Bassnectar should have opened for Z-Trip. They had it the wrong way! Holy Fuck did I have a good time during Z-Trip's set! He absolutely killed it. Not that I'm surprised, I've never been disappointed seeing him. Z-Trip made my night - I moshed, a screamed, I jumped, I stood still and listened, I filmed, I drank a beer... Quite an evening.

Bassnectar, Bassnectar, Bassnectar...

I got bored half way... *sigh*. I'm a huge fan of him, but something was missing and it didn't really keep me moving like Z-Trip. A few times I got going (hard not to when you have 20 amazing friends going off around you), but other then that, it just wasn't the same. I think when I see him at Shambhala it's better cause you have that whole Shambhala thing. :) In Vancouver it just isn't the same.

crowd was excellent....zero patchoulie stinkers...the haters missed out.

Ztrip was a revelation. the guy was just OUTSTANDING. I loved matt the alien too.

Room sounded sooo good.

and the MUSIC.!!...my god man, electro,dubstep,dnb,mashups,hip hop and everyone in the place LOVING every min of it.

it was a special nite.

specially bout the absence of those people who choose to bathe in patchoulie. although, there was this e-tarded cute couple next to me for a bit who could have done with a little pit stick once a month or so.
