This is Christmas come early as far as I'm concerned :)

Frosty's pad is the jump off for Commodore events, everyone knows that.

Note that they're advertising an early start for the headliners.. my understanding is that they're EACH going to play a set, then Mat the Alien is going to play while they take a break, and then they're coming out together. This means a headliner (who???) on by 10:30, apparently (although I can't remember where I read that.

So.. your place around 8 ish gnosis?

Commodore has always been one of the best clubs in the city when it comes to sneakily getting people inside its venue super early so they have to buy the expensive drinks.

From what I understand (like you, I wish I could remember where I read it), both headliners and Matt will be tagging for the last part of the evening. So it is written, so it is rumoured.

Haha.. whoever you might think are the real heavyweights, this is what my friend heard upon phoning the venue:

Mat the Alien - 9:30 -10:15?
Z-trip - 10:15 - 11 something
Bassnectar - 11 something to something something
someone else
Ztrip + bassnectar

This isn't the best schedule ever but I'm already pretty drunk

worked good for me cause I'm so tired... Z-TRIP killed it and then dub step came and I realized that I was that tired. great night though! good seeing some friendly faces too.

z killed it as usual... i really hoped (as i do every time i find myself at one of his shows) that this would be the night that would change my opinion of Bassnectar. it wasn't.

Matt was superb and really got the crowd going!

Z-Trip? Astounding, as usual. Best excuse to bounce on the Commodore floor in a long time!

Bassnectar? Well, I really groove on the shit he plays, so, it was a good show from him. But, I started losing energy 1/2 way through.

Danced my ass off, though. And it didn't take long for the Tourette's Syndrome to kick in...

so agreed, Bassnectar had me leaving to go to sleep in 15 or 20 minutes. he was actually playing some good tunes but it still made me want to go to sleep more than dance.

Frosty's comments pretty much sum up mine. That might have been the best 10:15-midnight set in human history. Just fucking destroyed it.. "Paper Planes" with "Passin me By" was a highlight amongst highlights.

I enjoyed Lorin's set, even if it was wasn't the epiphany of the DJ "opening" for him.
