Anyone who came to my last house party... New Years Party??

Basically for anyone who attended the last house party at Karens place you are invited to share New Years among friends at my house for a party.

If you are wanting to come let me know and we can organize from there. If I can get enough interest going on for a party then it'll just have to happen then!

All I know is that I don't want to go to a rave or a bar for new years.. I'd rather be partying with friends. :)

Let's see...a house party.

I would be all over this if it wasn't for a few details.

I'm working until 11:30pm so that means I would be leaving Burnaby and heading to Mission around 11:45pm. Since this is a house party and being new years eve don't expect it too last until 400-500am. Before I even get to the highway I'm guessing I will run into at least one road check. Since I lost my licence ages ago and refuse to pay my jaywalking ticket to allow me to get a new one, I'm out of luck. I would get a ticket for $90 for driving without proper ID. Then I would travel along the highway most likely pissed about getting at ticket and with my luck get a speeding ticket to add with another lecture about no id. Then just off the exit of the #1 I'll run into yet another roadcheck(this is new years after all!). I'll get yet another lecture about not having my licence and delay another 15min before I even get to the Mission/Abby Hwy. By the time I get there, it will be past 2am and everyone will be passed out or thrown out. I still have that one last chance if by some miracle someone will be willing to trade shifts with me. This seems as likley though as me winning a slam dunk contest. The odd are definately stacked against me.

I think I'll take the skytrain and get drunk downtown instead. Yup, that will work this year.

Well people the way I'm seeing it is that there really isn't THAT much interest going on in a New Years house party. If I don't see any interest within the next day or so I'm gonna have to cancel.

Its not that I don't wanna party but I don't wanna go throught all the pains of planning one to have 5 people show up..... :(

We don't have much of an alternative so I hope people come around maybe...
