anyone think SOLID CORP is bringing us europe quality parties?
SOLID CORP (Shy Brothers, Uh Oh!)
has been doing a great great excellent job in 2003, really impressive, and from all the stuffs they had brought us (the set ups, lasers, headliners, watever..lol), it really shows that they are doing what they have said during the interview that was taking place between the shy bros and the dj vibe person @ the fusion dreams 2003 dj vibe video(near the ending) but... mad props to u guys... i really smell european style parties coming up here in vancouver.. HAHAHAHAHAHA!^^^^^^^ and try comparing their party pics to the europe party pics, u can ACTUALLY compare a few of it. :c-tard: :kam: :toasted: :smoke1: :tounge1:

yeah solid is good.. im looking forward to fusion dreams 2 already!
i loved fusion dreams line up...by far my fave line up, Brooklyn Bounce Dj Team (well dj bohnbreaker made it) and Blank and Jones.. (well Jones atleast) and i still need to experience some solid sessions then im good.

Have they brought in some great talent - yes.
Have I enjoyed all/most of their events - yes. Are they Europe-quality - not in my opinion...I don't know if its cuz I've been to the UK each of the last three years or because each time I go I'm with a friend that lives there so we don't necessarily hit up the overpriced superclubs (even tho we see some damn fine talent) but I don't get any kind of a "wow, I feel like I'm overseas" vibe. Heck, I don't even get an "I'm in another city" vibe. They've all felt like Vancouver to me. But again, not a condemnation of their efforts or a dissatisfaction with their events, just a disagreement with the actual question posed in the title of this thread.

but about similar to europe quality, i'd say only solid for now.. but on kiss's flyer agroculture promised they will do it europe style which i 100% trust, so lets wait and see... and plus we can tell agroculture is starting to do european style parties since rhythm nation.. cus that does look like one.. after the huge success of kiss.. agro is now expanding instead of just undergrounds... and i miss EXERT and ET BROS alot!!!! 604elf isn't bad too... but they're all gone for some reason..

One of the main reasons they changed their name is because they fucked themselves over with a few of the main dj agencies from their last couple parties. Also they are the only promoters around who dont pay their local djs. Now that may make them stand out from the rest but far from outstanding Quote:

How about this. I was talking to Hatiras when he was at IMF and he told me that nobody picked him up from the airport so he had to find a flyer just so that he would know where the party was, found the party himself because the promoters didnt pick him up. Wheres the professionalism here? I bet that could have screwed up any future dealings with Shy Bros, oh wait Solid Quote:
