Thoes speakers are similar to what I have in the livingroom, good for general listening but not that much low-end bass which is what you need for that club-type party sound. If you can borrow a self-powered subwoofer from someone your party would be rockin. Just don't turn the subwoofer up too high or it will sound boomy and unbalanced.

I can come out on one condition. I'll be at my cousins wedding arangment during most of the night. If theres any designated drivers that are willing to pick me up from there I'll come down for sure. Otherwise im kinda stuck.
call me 604 584 3164 I can bring my mixer, but not tables. Had some bad experiences in the past. |

I'll be home tomarrow until 11am. After that theres pretty much no way of getting a hold of me. But i'll try my best to contact someone if i get the chance. Peace! |

I'm ready to spin on my computer if that is cool. If so PM or email tvmann at shaw dot ca with time, location, phone numbers etc. If you end up getting lots of other DJs and turntables etc I will spin at another houseparty. But this would be fun and a chance to meet and scare some.
Have: - 6' and 20' RCA cables to connect to your amp - computer - small DJ table for the gear - lots of recent house (incl funky, vocal, tribal & samba/newjazz), and club tunes, trance (which I see is not wanted tonight), and some 80's remixes and pop remixes, some hip hop/rap. Essentially zero top-40 and rock. Hope you will have some security measures so nothing gets swiped or trashed. |

i can bring my mixer if anyone has some compressed air (like the stuff you use to clean out keyboards and computer equip) to clean out the faders in my mixer... other wise it will bleed or crackle just a little bit. the bleeding is not tooo bad and compressed air should do the trick.

Very well dude.
I challenge you to DJ Battle. YOU - on your turntables. ME - on my computer. manno a manno or... your mix against mine. P.S. I presume you have been one of the people who opposed the introduction of electric guitars 40 years ago. Quote:

It's very easy to trainwreck on a computer too, and it will take many months of hard work to learn how to do to do a smooth transition and get the computer to work properly, as anyone who has tried will tell you. A computer will only easily beatmatch tunes which are also dead-easy to beatmatch manually on vinyl or CD.
Anyway DJing is about a lot more than beatmatching. Just like driving a car fast and safe involves more than being a slick operator of a manual transmission lever. Which I do very well, by the way, with heel-and-toeing and double-clutching, skills which are now obsolete but took me a long time to develop. Quote:
