Stop _after_ you're 20? So, what... let's all do drugs when we're 14-17... because those aren't years when our bodies are developing or anything.....? I didn't start up with the "rave" drugs until I was well into my 20s, and I'm really glad I took my time with it. Means I've already seen all the little dramas that the drugs create and the ways in which it can really fuck you right over, so I can take precautions to avoid letting it mess me over. But thanks for coming out. |

^^ weed doesen't destroy your intelligence if you use it correctly. Don't bash on weed! it never did anything to you...
other then that, yeh drugs are bad for you if your doing them all the time without moderation, duh! Babystyles, by cleaner you mean purer. They were getting much more fucked up on MDMA back then, now its mainly JIB in pills. |

I still believe that drugs can be done in moderation, unfortunately most people take things to excess so emphasizing this point of moderation is frowned upon.
I wrote a research paper for my English composition class last term and I basically focused on how drugs and music have corresponded throughout decades. This is just a passage from it: "The 60s gave way to a hippy generation which resulted in some of the greatest musicians who have ever lived. Following decades also created distinct styles in sound, fashion and popular culture. Much of this can be tied in to the substances that were more popularly consumed during the time. The diverse and innovative sounds of the 60s tie in with the marijuana and LSD use, the flashy, glam disco and rock star lifestyle of the 70s and 80s is commonly associated with cocaine use and the underground turned mainstream rave scene of the 90s and present decade is largely associated with the “love drug” ecstasy. Although excessive substance use was also responsible for the demise of many musical artists, their talent would not have been enhanced to the extent that it was had it not been for drug experimentation. " This proves true to many artists and playwrights as well... Oscar Wilde, Van Gogh, and Picasso all experimented with Absinth. I even read somewhere that traces of coca leaves (leaves where cocaine is derived from) were found in clay pipes belonging to Shakespeare. So this has always been the case, different substance... same story |
