It's only a list of people that have signed up. I think voting just once will bump you up like a 1000 spots. It's not very accurate because it only allows you to vote for people who have signed themselves up. Or had someone sign them up on the site. The only part that may be more accurate is when it comes to the top 10 or so.

apprently its not as simple as signin up like an email, takes 24 -72hrs while they confirm out there that yer not the dj @ Kmart. I guess they google the name and try to determine if theyre a serious dj, cuz im still waitin for them to verify my rekkid. However i dont know any of those people either. Top5 is a mess.

huh? I agree with the last part. I never said that I thought that this list was fair. As far as the way they tally the votes, because it's not just one person gathering all the names of all the dj's, and then letting people vote on them. They don't really say how they do the numbers though, so I may be incorrect. That's just the impression that I got since my bf is on that list and after I voted for him once he bounced like 100 spots or something.

Its kinda retarded cause they reset all the vote to 0 anyway. I think i once had like 3 or 5 votes.
The djlist is not really a good way to rank the djs in the world cause being on the list only requires you to sign up. If you want a more accurate list, then DJ mag or any of those publications and such would be a better list since you can;t just sign-up and be listed. You have to become popular ( and requsted ).

Still the djlist is a good way for the unknown djs to get heard outside there own city.

I find thought that they seriously need to work on their website though!
-Theres massive problems when you view it with firefox.
- Theres no option to be listed under multiple genres ( either techno or either trance....not both ) kinda sad.
- easier sign-up process
