The Love That Left Me
To: My One & Only

I have found what people tend to search
For their whole lives!
It’s called love,
& boy it’s a beautiful thing,
The most beautiful thing on this planet
It makes you so happy even when you’re at your worst…
He’s opened my eyes to it &,
God I love him for that,
Literally!
I’d do anything for him knowing,
He’d do nothing for me in return,
His name is Mark A. Dryer,
He lives with his father and has
A step-mom but his real dad and step-mom
Don’t live together,
His real mom died,
When he was younger,
His b-day is on June 6,
He is 16 years old,
& owns my heart and doesn’t even realize it,
We went out for,
53 days.
Those were the best days of my life,
For a moment which flew by so fast,
I was complete,
He was mine and I was his,
He held me in a way that made me feel,
Ever so perfect,
I felt flawless in his arms,
& the way he kissed me,
Wow! It was better than anything,
On this planet,
& when he told me that he loved me,
I knew he meant it,
Which makes it harder for me to see him,
With another girl,
Who has no idea what he has to offer…
To this world,
She doesn’t see him the way I do,
Not even close,
She can never love him the way I do,
She doesn’t deserve him he’s to perfect & wonderful for her.
I know I hurt him and that I screwed up,
Bad,
I know that he hurt me to,
I know we have our differences at times,
But I also know what we have or had is love,
I know that no matter what,
Even though were not together I have a,
Feeling that he still loves me even if its,
The slightest bit,
& I’m willing to wait for him,
If only I knew if he did love me so my wait,
Wouldn’t be a waste.

Without sounding too rude, youre coming off as somewhat psychotic and desperate. Do you plan on emailing this poem, or are you going to print it off and give it to him by hand. and if so, will you include the peach font and underlines? You seem to have gotten awfully attached for being in a relationship with this dood for under 2 months, but I guess thats another thread. In terms of constructive criticism: .. less is more, shorten your poem and your message might make more of an impact.

And val, you really need to chill on shitting other peoples poetry 99% of the time. Everyone needs to start from somewhere, and we all have written some shit at some point in our lives, and will again in the future. If you are as taken with your own writing as you often sound then perhaps hooking up with some collectives in town ( there are several) will put you in a position where you can be challenged - as Im thinking being bored contributes to one slashing other peoples work. There are tons of readings at the regular spots including Our Town, Cafe Montmarte, and good ol Cafe Soleil (a perfect place to get ones ego-centric poetic attitudes cut out pretty damn fast)

Nonetheless, I hope motherhood is treating you well.

if you think that's what love is, you need not worry as you'll get over it soon. if you truly loved him you wouldn't want him to know how much pain it's caused you simply because if he really loved you, it would cause him that much pain.

lol thnx for ur guys help and no im not going to send this to him its just how i felt at the time but im getting over that boy ive realized that i can get over him and move on and that i dont need do dwell over this boy who obviously never cared about me! though he was my first love im gunna find sumone (i hope!) who really loves me and for who i am

Shut the fuck up. Now that your a mother I would think you'd have a little compassion. Maybe her 'poem' isnt great..but who are you to tell her to stop trying. You are the biggest piece of shit. Plain and simple.
