from Couple to Friends...

oi..

I dunno why but at times I find it odd.

in the past few month a couple of my Ex's have been calling me to see whats up and shit.. and wanting to hang out and go back to the way things were.

Which I'm just totaly cool with, I just find it odd that after a year to a couple months.. that we had broken up.. now they start seeing whats up and shit. no intention of getting back together of course.. but they're startin to come around!

I dont get it. Like why wait so long to come around..

yeha, I know some can be hurt from the breaking up part blah blah blah.. but a year?

I duno.. has this happen to any of you?

I'm not sure whether to think something is up cause they wanna chill or whatever or if they literally just wanna be friends and go back to the way things were 'back in the day'?

oh, well I'm cool I guess.. or I just wanna get this out!

sometimes you need that long break
otherwise you keep falling back in to the comfortable spot
where youre still seeing each other
still have sex..
or whatever..

just think of it this way
at least they want to attempt friendship..

i had like an hour talk with my ex today.. old old old ex. but still it was weird. we even brought up the past and how weird our relationship was. i haven't had a long convo with him for a while and today marketin class we did shit all so we talked... now im tryin to fix his md player. awkward..but its nice to get a friend back.

yeah, I'm down with this friends back thing.. but yeah.. like 2 of my ex's from a year ago and a year and a half ago.. have been like.. 'y0 wuts up'

I miss being real good friends with some of em' though.. and causing shit.. HAHA

yeah coincidence much? It must be some crazy "lets call our ex's" time of year because I just got a call from mine after 6 months.

But if you think about it, you got together for a reason right? Obviously you liked eachother and got a long well.. so after the initial awkwardness passes, and maybe the attraction fades, you can just be friends. Even if it takes a while to get to that point.

i personally need time to heal myself before trying to be friends with my ex's

i continued a friendship with my first love for long after we broke up
but he strayed away because of jealousy for my second love

i think that if you are able to let someone close to your heart, then that is a friendship which you should be able to cherish one day :)

Interesting stuff!!! I just hope for your sake that our mutual ex isn't one of the ones calling you...heh!

Anyways, I'm only friends with one of my ex's...and we don't talk much. All the others I've shoved out of my life because they're just not worth it. But then, that's me, and I've been treated like crap in a couple of relationships so it's understandable why I don't want anything to do with my ex's.

It's always odd when an ex wants to hang out...none of my experiences have been good. They've always hinted toward going back to "the way things were" and I've never had any intention to, which makes it really akward.

I donno, J'netter...do what you're comfortable with!

I dunno.. I find it totaly fine though.. even though the guy did treat me like shit or wut ever.. we can chill and just be friends.. and not expect more!hmm.. but then again they may stiol treat me like shit.. but I never notice it till its too late!
