Invasion of Privacy
i'm not very happy at all.
my dad went through my drawers and found my journal and read it page by page. i'm so frustrated, angry and embarrased. i wrote stuff in there no one knows about except me. there is so much private information in there and i can't believe my dad actually read it all plus then told my mom what was in it. i don't really know what to do. we resolved things but i don't really think that this is something i'm going to forget about. has this ever happend to you? :soak:

of course parents want the best for you but you are entitled to a little bit of your own privacy. i'm sure that my parents have secrets of theirs that i don't know about. my parents are the same way, they'll just come barging in my room and just look at whatever is lying around and if they need something and they don't seem to have it, they think i would have it and look all through my drawers.

I'm sorry this has made me very angry. Maybe, and this is a maybe, if Aki was this crazy cracked out teenager this would be okay. But she's not, she's Aki. So there is no reason in hell for her parents to do that. Your parents should have more respect for you than that. The trust thing works both ways. There is no way my mum would even go in my room let alone read my journal. Run away Aki run away, or make them go see a councilor or something.
You are almost 19 tears old. You are not a child, your parents do not have the right to do that.

ok first of all, its not their right at all.
second of all, its not that they want the best for you, its that they want to know every single detail about your life, which in my opinion, is not right. if my mom wants to know something, she can ask me and i will tell her. she once read a note of mine in like grade 9, and i flipped. its none of her buisness. plus you are almost 19. AND if my mom went through my room and found something she didnt like, she couldnt do anything about it, because thats my room and my buisness. she knows this now, thanks to that whole drug thing, now when she has a problem, she confronts me, not goes behind ,my back. thats the best way to my lose trust.

That's why you make up a fake diary where you write all sorts of stupid stuff, where you appear as some naive lil innocent child of the church. But it's a little too late for that now, so you must start making more entries in your diary about how much you loved and trusted your parents before they went in and destroyed your love and trust for them. Write about how you are pregnant even if you aren't and say that you're into wicca and uhhh that's about it. I'm glad my parents wouldn't do that, not as if I have anything to hide anyways.

but also.. (this is kinda contradictory) are you sure it wasnt something you wish your parent could of know that were in there.. like things you wish you could have told them?and stuff like that.. (I watched a show on this yesterday) cause I found.. I out that I would be upset.. cause they didnt ask type thing.. ut like i would say yes.. and there are a few thing a desperatly wanna tell my parents but cant due to judment and awkwardness and things like that.. its like the teen says : leave me alone, and you know everything to your parents are jsut liek wanna talk or somethign? but if they did it.. it could make things better.. or something.. I have no idea really wut I'm trying to say.. I'm gonna shut up.

i've had my sisters go thru my stuff..but not my parents..luckily...my idiotic sisters don't tell my parents stuff..they only like to blackmail me..but seriously..invasion of privacy is SO NOT cool!..if my parents snooped..they would lose my trust and respect instantly..

My brother knows everything that i do. I really hate him for it. Blackmails me outta everything, cash, rides whatever he wants. He went though my room when i was at the army camp all summer and broke the locks i hate. What a snoop eh. I am in living hell with the guy.

i think they don't think that they can trust me!
they knew i had a journal... i was reading what i had in it so far yesterday and i'm really angry that someone elses eyes has read it....especially those eyes being my dads. i'm glad they know about some parts..like how i have been feeling, and why i've been mad at them. but there are some details about my boyfriend in there that i don't want anyone to know about....but now they know absolutely EVERYTHING. rhianna- haha move in with jay yeah right, no way. my dad got mad at me once and was like "if you dont like living here...go move out with your boyfriend!" i couldn't stop laughing at him because thats gotta be the dumbest thing thats ever come out of his mouth, seriously. making up a fake diary would take way to much effort.

Parents will be parents they read ur journal because they are obviously concerned about you. My parents did the same shit to me repeatedly but after the third time i learned to keep my parents informed about my life the good the bad the ugly. I got to the point where I really didnt give a fuck what they knew so I just basically told them everything.Keep an open honest relationship with ur parents it shows them that u are mature and ur not thier lil girl ne more and they will respect u more for being upfront with them. Well thats how it was for me who knows maybe it will be different with ur parents.Anyways I wish u the best of luck with resolving ur issues with ur parents

^--- you and I are lucky that we can be open and honest with our parents. Some parents will use the information that their kid(s) share with them to hurt them, or to formulate distrust. Some parents are just too uptight about rules and stuff, too. ugh.
This is just a classic example of why online journals are such a good idea! Just log out and your 'rents can't find your username, and chances are that most of our parents can't even work a computer! My mom has problems turning it on :D

fuken shit. im goin thru the same thing with my parents. but the thing is they think i dont know they snoop around. but i do. why? cuz my mom is so fuken retarded. i came home from school once and like i can tell if someone's been in my room. so i go ask my mom if she was in my room. she says no. a few days later she asked me sumthin that she would only know if she was in my room. so i told her "oh so u HAVE been snooping around" and all she did was stare at me cuz she knew she lied.i asked her nicely to stop but she didnt. after like the second time she did that i left lil notes all over my room "get out" "u should not be in here" and stuff like that. i come home from school all the notes are stacked nicely on my desk. i raged so bad at her for that and she stopped untill 2day. so i think im just gonna pack my stuff 2nite and move in with my bf. this is jsut fuken ridiculous.
oh and my dad does the same thing but to top it all off he fuken opens all my mail. i got my letter from college on monday sayin i got accepted. i jsut found the letter on thursday under some papers. they didnt even tell i got into college. not even a lil pat on the back "oh hey way to go" NUTTIN. fuck im almost 19 years old i think i deserve some privacy. so what if im still living with them, i dont go snooping thru theyr stuff. but hey maybe i will do that so then they'll know what its like and they'll stop. i hate parents.
