I choose not to follow any sort of system of religion. i believe that buddah/mohammad/jesus, etc all had good ideas, but they all come down to once simple principle:
TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU'D WANT THEM TO TREAT YOU.
i dont disrespect anyone who feels the need to have to live by a bunch of rules set out by some sort of religious organization, but i just dont believe its necessary.
i believe everyone has some degree of human decency and that if we all tapped into it, this world would be a much better place.

Christian, Evangelical (although, I think any denomination that isn't catholic is considered protestant by default)

I believe the truth to the afterlife is not all inclusive.
There's only one way to get to heaven and by definition all other ways are wrong. That being said, for me the current trend toward pluralistic belief and/or general spiritualism (Karma ect) is a sad thing.

1. What religion are you? Roman Catholic.

2. Do you practice regularly? Did. Been slipping lately. More holidays and special events now.

3. Do you abide by rules and regulations of your religion? There are some that I still do abide to.

4. Are you only a follower because it's what you know, what your family has imbedded into your mind, and what you have been surrounded by your whole life? Actually... our family is diverse in religion. Some Catholic, some Christian, and some Buddists.

4a. Do you ever feel like you want to explore other options? Are you afraid to because of what your family may say/think? I have already. Looked a bit into Buddism as family members are still practicing. When we immigrated we were Christians, but then converted.

5. Are you more spiritual and just kinda go with the flow? At this time... go with the flow.

6. If you are religious, but dont practice, should you still take advantage of the holiday time off? I would more or less go with the office policies on holidays..

What about Jehovah's Witnesses, Lutheran, Christian Orthodox, Methodist, Messianic-Judaism, or the Church of Latter Day Saints? I'm pretty sure any denomination with their own separate church and practice is considered just that. Any Reformation group is usually referred to as Protestant, but that's just like lumping Hinduism, Sikh, and Buddhism into one group and calling them Eastern Religions and treating them as if they were one and the same. Even as an anti-organization man of spirit like myself, I see the error in that.

1. What religion are you?

I don't believe in religion

2. Do you practice regularly?

Nope

3. Do you abide by rules and regulations of your religion?

I live try and do the best that I can in life

4. Are you only a follower because it's what you know, what your family has imbedded into your mind, and what you have been surrounded by your whole life?

No, I wasn't raised on religion of any kind. I mean, my family I guess is christian. But it was never forced down my throat. I made my own choices based on my own views and my family respects my choices.

4. Do you ever feel like you want to explore other options? Are you afraid to because of what your family may say/think?

Absolutly not. I could be whatever I want to be and as long as I'm happy and doing what I want to do in life. My family will love and respect me no matter what.

5. Are you more spiritual and just kinda go with the flow?

I kinda go with the flow. I live life and do whatever makes me happy.

6. If you are religious, but dont practice, should you still take advantage of the holiday time off?

I'm not religious and yes I do take advantage of holidays. I like the time off work (plus they lock the doors) and I like spending time with my family. And that's really what the holidays should be about, spending time with the people you love.

2. Do you practice regularly? Baby, a drug quote led me to Tallulah Bankhead which lead me to Mercedes de Acosta which lead me to ZEN ENLIGHTENMENT. Surfing the internet is practice!
3. Do you abide by rules and regulations of your religion? One word sums the rules up: MODERATION!
4. Are you only a follower because it's what you know, what your family has imbedded into your mind, and what you have been surrounded by your whole life? A little bit of all of the above
4a. Do you ever feel like you want to explore other options? Are you afraid to because of what your family may say/think? I'm living it, so nope, totally fearless.
5. Are you more spiritual and just kinda go with the flow? Hell yes!
6. If you are religious, but dont practice, should you still take advantage of the holiday time off? Everyday is a holy day.

I personally am also an atheist... believing in nothing in particular but I see the most sense made by the laws of karma and the teachings of Buddhism.

In my opinion religion should teach compassion and love for everything else living. I do not think that any close-minded religious views have it right. As there is such heated debate, and no one knows exactly what is correct, the human race should embrace religion with an open mind.

Religion has done many good and bad things for the world. The bad things that religion has caused (holy wars etc) have no place in a good religion.

Buddhism has my vote. I dont believe it all, but the underlying message in the religion makes sense.

Um, wasn't that Moses?

Jesus came to show everybody that the Church was corrupt. Then opportunists used his message to deify him and enact the exact same corrupt acts he fought against on their parishes.

i dont believe in religion, or a higher power since there is no evidence to supoort one exists, therefore I am a de facto atheist.

Howevere, i never give religion much thought except to study their historical development and philosphies.

If secular humanism was a religion, thats what Id be.
