its not silly to celebrate anniversaries at all!
even if u just recognize the date every month and say "happy anniversary", that would be cool. but to actually celebrate by going out, it should be significant... 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 1 1/2 years, 2 years etc. |

as long as it's not an obsessive "HAPPY 1 MONTH ANNIVERSARY!!! WE'RE HALF WAY TO SPENDING THE REST OF OUR LIVES TOGETHER" thing, i think it's a healthy part of a growing relationship...
remembering dates and occasions shows that you care about the moments you share with a person. |

Or it should go like this
1month: (for girl)roses and dinner 2month: (for guy)steak and a blow job 3month: (for girl)roses and dinner 4month: (for guy)steak and a blow job 5month: (for guy)steak and a blow job 6month: necklace, dinner and flowers and massage |

Dee...In my opinion, I think that every 6 months is a very good time to just acknowledge the time that you have spent together...even if you don't "celebrate" it. I think the 6 month mark of a relationship is a milestone, as is every year. I also believe that around every 6 month mark (6months, 1 year, 1.5 years, etc.) every new couple experiences some turbulence and obstacles that make it so much more to celebrate at the next milestone....
But yeah, to answer your question, my bf and I "celebrate" each 6 month by just renting a hotel room somewhere and well, aside from the obvious, we talk about good things and bad things that have happened over the months/years.....it's like a getaway from our friends, family, etc, and a time for us. *Jen* |
