saying goodbye

to my painting was really hard today.
its the first time a peice i made is going to someone i dont know at all.
it has a nice view of the ocean though, atop a fireplace in a beautiful apartment.
i almost had this sick nervous feeling, and a little bit of regret. i hope it doesnt always feel like this.
it was like giving away a puppy.

Giving away something that you put so much of yourself into (like art) is always a little difficult, at least in my experience. It gets easier to do, but there is always some feeling of a loss of yourself...
