kids and Fighting

My baby sisters parents fight alot
Its nothing like hitting, just alot of yelling, and name calling.

Her brothers fight alot as well.

I notcied when i watched her, that she totaly tuned everything out.


Her parents were yelling
her brothers were crying

And she just sat on the floor, staring at one spot.. never even looked up, she just looked at the carpit. and zoned.

I'm not saying its a totaly bad enviroment for a kid.. they do alot of good things to... I just think raised voices around little kids is really... gonna efect them Later on

PPS: I picked her up and took her outside for a walk so she wasn't sitting by herself the whole fight.

Yelling around or at kids is bad bad bad...It leads to problems later on for alot of them...

Back when we was all po and shit, my parents hardcore yelled and screamed at eachother all the time. Then we got money and they stopped and I turned out fine and dandy. The point is you really can't predict how and what will affect a child. Also, throwing money at problems makes them go away.

Yelling at kids, in my opinion, in general is bad.

But when you look at it on the other side of the fence, kids who don't get disciplined turn out to be shit heads that bully other kids or do other bad things knowing nothing will happen to them.

Try reading what I wrote below before making ignorant posts like that.

Yelling at a little child for NOTHING is wrong. Subjecting young minds to pointless verbal abuse is what will hurt them. There is nothing wrong with disciplining a child when appropriate.

keep in mind this baby is only 1 year old
no one was yelling AT her, just around her.

There are a lot of great parents out in the world, and a lot that really just kinda stink! Of course its terrible to scream yell and fight with or around your children. but i don't think the effects come into play until they grow up, and then of course by that time, the children may too feel its quite all right to do the innapropriate things listed above.
