My friend is getting married!!!!!!!

she's only 19!!!! she moved to calgary for university last year but then dropped out,became a full time waitress and met a guy..she came back for like a week..she says all she ever wants to be is a waitress (which makes me really sad?!!!!!) and that her and her fiance are getting married in like 6 months!!There going to buy a house and have babies??
I mean if she's happy then whatever but this is so fucking weird!

some people are also just really ready to just be married and have kids...thats what makes them so happy in life...my friends sarah and james got married when they were 20 and 21...and they already have a 8 month old baby boy...i've never seen them happier

I totally disagree.

Do you have any idea how ridiculously hard it is to go back to school while trying to support a family? It makes waaaaaay more sense to stay at home where mom/dad will still make you dinner (and probably not make you pay rent), go to school, and THEN get married and have a family. If you and your significant other are ready to get married at say 20 or 21, then chances are in 4-5 years when you're done school, you'll still be ready! However, if you wait, you'll not only be ready, but financially able to support a family, buy a house where you WANT not just where you can afford, etc.

yeah plus by the time you are 25 youll have a better idea of the person you are and the one you want to marry then you will when you're 19.

people change alot in those years, and one thing my parents always told me was not to rush into marriage especially at a younger age, because it isnt until you're later 20's when you have a better idea of what you're goals in life will be.

i seriously doubt this woman will want to be a waitress for the rest of her life, or even two years form now.

Well think of it this way.. She's bound to be a moron forever, since she has a highschool degree and is planning to be a waitress for the rest of her life. I doubt she will ever go back to school, because if she can't do it while she is 19, she can't do it when she is 30. rarely do you see anyone starting school from scratch in their thirdies or whatever. so her life already is ruined?
She probably finds it an ideal situation to legally chain herself to a man (hopefully a rich man) while she can. Because nobody will want a 32 year old waitress with a highschool diploma and nothing to look forward to.

not exactly..both my parents completed their post secondary and graduate studies in their thirties and they both said it was much easier to do it at that age then when they attempted it in their early twenties because they could draw on alot of their life experiencesn to finish school...plus alot of people become alot more focused with age, young people like to fuck around.

the thing that pisses me off is the lack of ambition from someone who is seemly intelligent.
