is this a tacky way to get/give numbers???

ok so i meet this girl on the way to work. i dont have any bits of paper to give her my number. so i give her one of my buisness cards and wrote my cell on it.
she seemed impressed i had a card..... so i thought i was slick.

but then a few days on...i try and chat up another girl and as soon as i pass her my card she kinda blew me off

what would you do and how would you react if a guy passed you a buisness card with a cell### on it????

then again, I'd rather just take the card, write my number on the back and tell them to call me. That's just because I'm not good with this whole 'calling boys' thing.

i remember having a guy give me a card before and he worked for an insurance company...to this day im still confused if he was giving me his card for personal reasons or for me to buy insurance. no clue..

its all about inputting the number into the cellphone and see how things fly from there. i dont know if its most girls..but im with myra.. please have the guy call me instead.

i dont really like giving out my number. call me old fasioned, but i just dont feel safe doing it. however, i did give my number to one boy, and its turned into a most wonderful relationship.

and paper is paper, business card or not, its all the same.

I think it depends on how you offer this business card. I mean, maybe it worked the first time because you made it look like you didn't have any paper on you, and that's all you had; as an added bonus, she was impressed by the card. If you just offer the business card straight up and expect it to impress the girl, you might look like a dick trying to show off.

Maybe the key here is that you need to be deceiving. Hah.

hmmm when u pass out business cards with ur celly number on the back it looks like your just out to get sum ass and that you pass out those cards to all the girls. If a guy did that to me, i wouldn't blow him off to his face...i just wouldn't call him.
