Wow... you're really wanting to drop the whole Baby thing it seems. It's to bad because the whole Baby Traits thing is unique and quite marketable.
You're right though, Bri Traits doesn't make sense. If you are wanting to create more of a personal indentity, then yeah Bri Price, Bri or Brianna would be better. |

Hhhmm, tough call. In the end it's really up to you Bri. I know that doesn't help! If you don't like the name/feel comfortable keeping it now, think of 3 years from now when your 21 and then further. (Which you are - and good.) Cute and marketable, sure. But it's all about how you feel with that name and the image that you feel it portrays.
I changed my nick 3 times since 16. Just happens. |

Im 18 as well, id want a name that would grow with me and my music. I've been in the same boat, but in terms of naming bands..i think it's important to have a name that will grow with you...to allow progressing in the music, cuz when it comes down to it..you should be able to speak the name proud.

your only 18, so i see nothing against the baby traits. but for 18, you can throw down a fuckign wicked set, so i can see why the female ninja name suits.
but look at it like this, you think people who are fucked outta their minds are going to be able to pronounce that name? "hey, whats yoru dj name?" "Kunoichi" "what?" "Kunoichi" "kim chi?" "Kunoichi" "koon itchy!" "Kunoichi" "oh, ok" then repeat with next drunken fool. |

wow, I just stumbled across this by accident. i know it's sooo last week now, but I had to comment...
like everyone said, it depends how you want to market yourself. cut and dried. Baby Traits is a name that, like Kraig said, will sell tickets at raves. (What used to drive me UP THE WALL is when rave promoters would spell my dj name ill-E-sha.... laugh, dabbler, laugh.) But is that what you really want? I like it personally, it is cute, but it is more of a ravey, breaks/house DJ kind of name. B.Traits is more of a typical DNB dj name, drum n bass tends to take itself way too seriously and you get super techy or plain names. People are going to stereotype you no matter what you do, so what do you want them to see? I was given my DJ name as well, and after 8 years, I no longer have a choice to shake it off. Sometimes it drives me crazy, people pronounce or spell it wrong, people say that it sounds like I should be a turntablist, whatever. Even when I perform as part of the Metaphysics project, promoters will put "ill-esha" somewhere in there because people know it. But you have a choice right now. It's yours and only yours to make - people will give you an opinion based on how they want to see you. If you don't give a $hit, then just pick what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. If you don't mind being seen as cute, then stay cute. If you want to be more serious, graduate from the name while you have the chance. |

i like Baby Traits. i don't think it has babyish sound to it and plus if you keep the name for a while then decide that you want to change it later, you could have a title at a show saying "Baby Traits ... all grown up" then change it to something else (not saying that all of for a name) it could just create some time where you can create a new name for yourself.
