home exercising!
curious,
I exercise at home on a daily basis, do about 300 crunches and 50 push ups a day, but lately I havent been able to do as many push ups, I am finding myself doing 10-20 because of my wrists (I have carpal tunnel) and I find myself putting too much strain on my back now a days with the crunches. What do you guys do for exercise? If you do it from home, that is. What do you find works best for you? |

if you wanna wokr out everyday you should do cardio inbetween the wieght training. its also important to remmeber that your body needs to take a break, otherwise your doing more harm then good, the breaks allow you to increase your muslce mass as working out causes small tears in the muscle(whihc is what your trying to do) and then these tears are repaired and increase the size and strength or as it seems in your case the sndurance of your muscles. |

my friends been doing pilates at home lately. he got this cindy crawford DVD in his special K.
i hardly work out at home, i go to the gym to work out. but i have a big ball at home, a thigh master and this other ab thing you stand on and twist your torso. when i don't go to the gym tho, i like to go running, stretch, or just do gardening, even dance round the house to get in some exercise. |

Get an exercize ball!
Bonus, you sit on it when you use the computer. It's awkward at first, but once you get a good position, your body will thank you in many ways. The last office I worked in had them, and I noticed the difference in my posture and abdominal muscles bigtime. |

I make myself take stairs, walk, and keep a good posture most of the time. Working and coaching kids is always good, especial now that im helping with gymnastics. Im also in a Pilates class at the rec which I can easly do that at home also.
When living on Bondi beach it was easy to make myself run every day... I miss it :( Last edited by Ree Fresh; Jan 17, 05 at 11:19 PM. |

get a ball for sure. they are great for core excercising, stability, and like myra said, sitting on.plus you can do push ups on them, and they reduce the strain on your wrists. elevate/lower your legs, and work different pectoral areas.
maybe get a chin up bar Neoh. you can work your biceps, triceps, back and abs, plus it doesnt put you in that much strain. |

oh i didn't get that part bout your back hurting...
when you work out your front you gotta even things out by working out your back as well. i forget the technical names of all this, but your muscles work in pairs so you gotta even it out. for example when you do the bicep you have to do the tricep, lets just say you do a curl with a heavy weight but then you need to lower it back to the starting position and to do that you need to build up your tricept as well. ithis is all a lil rusty, and it's doubtful you work your abs so much that it's affecting your back, but that may be it. try throwing in some back exercises to even it out. |
