my 2 best friends are having a house warming/studio opening party & i need housewarming present ideas. the'yre my 2 favorite people and they're unusual guys, so i don't want to give them a plant or a toaster or whatever people usually give. what should i show up to the party with?

haha . i'll have to think about the hooker some more. i guess i shouln't be so vague. the studio is for rockin'. they're two of the most talented musicians i've ever heard play, and they're also producers. on top of that, they're both very intelligent, both engineers. scientists to the core. two of the most interesting and agreeable people around. i think this party marks the beginning of something big for them, so i dodn't feel right about showing up empty handed.

mirrors to put on their desks, to remind them of why they are working so hard.

toolbelts with beers in them
hardhats
earplugs
testtubes and holders to serve shots in
make them shirts that say 'engineers are crazy in the sack'

depends what kinda guys they are:

martini set
wine
wine rack
nice towels
a cool piece of art (regis frames has a sale right now!)
a blender/toaster/toaster oven/etc
set of dishes/pans/cups/etc
a small tree (better than a plant...soemthing like a ficus)
a cool chair
an area rug
