I'm with a girl right now who is obsessed with checking our reflection every time we get close. Mirror, window, whatever, I am constantly noticing her looking over my shoulder at our mirror-imaged selves.

The thing that I find wierd about this is that she is really messing with my preconception of people who do this sort of thing. I'm not overly concerned with checking the package at every possible moment and before her, I was rather put off by those who did. I immediately pegged them as shallow, and generally didn't go much further than that.

I'm not saying that this bothers me, just that it's made me wonder. I mean we are pretty damn sexy and I guess there's nothing wrong with appreciating that. So maybe I'll put it to a question.

When you're with your s/o, are you ever curious about how you look together? Do you make a point of checking, or are you all about the lights off as soon as the shirts come off?

That could very easily be the reason. Then again, you don't always need a reflection to watch whats going on. I assume it might get a little distracting if your partner is constantly looking at a mirror or window when you are getting in. I am very visual and enjoy watching, and yeah a mirror can come in handly (especially a hand held one ;) but I just watch straight on usually..
Maybe there's a little bit of voyeur in her and looking at a reflection is more voyeuristic?

No you make perfect sense. It is distracting, especially because she tries to hide the fact that she's doing it.

She's also a fan of being in front of open windows.
