OK I AM TOTALLY CLUELESS ABOUT THIS BARSTAR THINGIE
Read the whole story first!
Ok so i decided to go to a club with a few of my co-worker friends a while back, i met up with alot of them and while i was dancing a girl that i work with comes up to me and asks me about the where abouts of my friend and wether he was there or not, walks back starts dancing, random guy walks up from behind her, grabs her ass, she turns around and starts makin out with'em.
Alright apparently that is normal to her and she is known to do similar stuff all the time, I talked to a few of my co-worker friends who are friends with her as well, i mentioned that what she does is slutty, they frowned on me. I understand that they are her friends yet they told me that what she does shouldnt be considered slutty - making out/doing with random people - and that she is not a slut, yet a barstar.......now i dont know if i have a huge misconception of today's society and such and i mean i totally know that im fucking stupid for doing this infront of her friends yet i just want to know!
- Would i be wrong to consider her actions to be slutty or no?
- Where would you draw the line between a barstar and a slut? Excuse my lack of knowledge here, how would you define a barstar?

personally i think that having alil fun sometimes is aight, but i dunno if her friends say she does this a lot..and that it's normall....personally i think thats kinda gross...as i said tho having fun ONCE IN A WHILE is cool...

but ithink theres a point where the fun turns into habit.......and you're left with some chick who (sounds like ) will take any ass she can get

I don't really know what I would call it because I don't know the girl so I don't know her intentions and stuff... but I can definately see this turning into a debate with her friends if you bring it up again and I wouldn't be surprised if they took it personally and let her know what you had to say about her. I guess it just depends on a specific person and what they would view as being slutty, being a barstar, or whatever else one might call it.

id say, ONCE IN A WHILE if your at a party and you meet someone and make out with them its alrigt, as long as your not getting around, and having sex with random ppl(specially if you dont know them at all). but once you start hooking up with alot of random ppl all the time, and concider it "normal...then yeah, thats messed, dirty, and unsafe.
but yeah, this chick sounds umm, on the slutty side...

I did mention it to her face actually, i confronted her....she didnt say much, frowned, said that she was having fun and didnt care, but yea she does that alot, pretty much everytime i see her at a club, she is doing something like that. Like everybody has said, its not so bad to have some respectable fun. But what you said about just turning around and making out with somebody random just for sake..it seems like shes either insecure, trashy or it just doesnt mean that much to her. Perhaps she uses guys like most guys use girls, and she likes it that way and doesnt care if her friends dont like it or have opinions about it? Either way it shouldnt be considered normal.

Personally, I think its gross and degrading for a girl to do that.
I don't think its ever "okay" to make out with strangers (club/rave whatever), and it just shows a lack of respect for yourself; as well as the possibility of all the gross things you could pick up makes my stomach turn.

Yes.
Would I mention it to a girl?

To me a barstar used to mean someone who showed up at a rave looking like they should be at a sleezy club. But now I think its more like a term to describe a someone (a socialite perhaps) who goes to bars all the time, knows everyone, etc. In the "club culture" most singles act far more sexually forward than I would ever be comfortable being (haha, I guess I really am a prude, Tim.). So, that said, I think yes that girl is a slut. But I think lots of girls who go to bars are sluts... But it seems widely accepted in that context, so whatever. Barstar or slut? Hmm how about barslut.

Drawing on people when they pass out RULES!!! we had an american freind named kevin who drew on my good freind conneor one night...long story short kevin was up here illegaly trying to work, so connor had got him a job with him...the night before he's supposed to start working we have this party, kev passes out and connor drew a penis on the side of his face going to his mouth and random shit all over his body (including a poem about how gay he was on his back).
