Tet. but a child.
my heart goes out to another soul lost...
I wish things could have been different. I wish we had promoters who weren't greedy. I wish we had ravers who remembered that raving is about friends as family, and sick beats, and community. I wish you the most restful peace. You are on so many minds, tet, and your life will not be lost in vain. <3 |

there was a death for the first time since 2002 involving a party here in seattle on saturday.
the venue was WAY to small, there were WAY too many people, and someone took too many drugs, and overdosed. who knows how long he was lying on the floor in the huge puddle of sweat that was created by all the heat dripping from the walls and ceiling. who knows how many ravers kicked him and stepped on him before they realized he wasn't concious. he was taken to the hospital that night, and died yesterday morning. let his death not be in vain, and our scenes both learn from this incidence. i didn't know him well, but it hurts my heart that this happened. |

Whenever I went to a party I always knew that when I saw someone having trouble or looking too high, I should help them. Get them out of the loud rooms, give them water or just calm them down by talking to them. Most of all I know what a frigging overdose looks like. These people who saw him lay down should be ashamed..he could've had a hard time breathing or something minor like that, or been realy drunk and perhaps passed out... but why wouldn't someone help him!
It's so unfortunate, I didn't know him I don't think, but I know his death is of substance, no matter how hard someone tries they can't bring back a soul. He'll be remebered. For people who go to a party and all they care about is themselves, the people that get so stupid they don't notice whats going on around them..I find it's always the nicest people who die, the ones that if it were anyone else they would've saved THEM.. |

too many people are too self absorbed to notice what's going on around them.
at evaDs new years party this year someone took a few too many pills for their first time, and SO MANY people walked past him in his semi consious state in the washroom and said nothing. the first time i saw him i left him alone for a couple minutes thinking he may just need a moment of quiet space. but when i returned and he couldn't stand, i alerted the appropriate people to the situation and did what i could to help him. he was there for 2 1/2 hours getting worse and worse until i found him. several people commented after "oh yeah, i saw him there but just thought he was going to the washroom" or "oh yeah, i saw him" yet no one wanted to do anything until i said something. |

This specific case involved the ingestion of 6 caps of e, an 1/8 of mushrooms, and some amount of GHB.
The person who threw the show had to grab him off the stage because he was climbing on speakers and acting all out of his gord. It's hard to believe that your friends wouldn't worry at all when u tell them ur taking all that shit. I mean GHB ALONE can put u into a coma... let alone the combo of that AND e AND mushrooms. |

This is a very sad thing to happen..........how self obsorbed does someone have to be to not even think to take 2 seconds when they see someone in this kind of situation at a rave or anywhere for that matter to just bend down and ask if they are ok.......even if they are only just taking a break from dancing it is still a good idea.........I had a really bad trip at elevation a while back and was so sketchy, and I appreciated the fact that some one in the little chill room wa nice enough to ask if I was okay when I went to sit in there and try and get myself back together........He didn't know me and I didn't and still don't know who he was but the fact that he had even the slightest concern to ask if I was alright was relieving......my hats off to impure for saying something and possibly even saving a life
