Should I get my nose fixed?
I was chatting with my Doc about my nose and how for as long as I can remember its always looked crooked. He looked at/in it and told me that I have a "deviated septum" and to fix it I would have to get a "Septoplasty" which is a surgery reparing the "blah blah blah" http://www.drbenke.com/nose.html#jump9
anywho, it has seemed to affect my breathing but its mostly a cosmetic issue. If I get the surgery it will mean extreme pain for the next week. would you do it? know anyone who has had it done? |

if it's affecting your breathing, you'll benefit so much in the long run by sacrificing this one week. Besides, I'm certain you can find people who will take good care of you during the painful part :) |

I'll tell you now, recovering from nose surgery is one of the most painful things i've ever gone through. More so then actually having it punched to shit.
They had to repath my nostrils, conesequently i had inch and a half long plastic tubes stuck up 'there' to keep them open during the healing process. Unless it's really obstructing your breathing, I wouldn't recommend it. It's your call regardless though, Matt. Good luck. |

My brother had to get an emergancy nose job after a crazy BMX acident. Aparently they stuck medical cocain up his nose to relive the pain while ajusting it? He had to wear a bandage over his nose for a lill while, but no major pian that he recalls.
Try it out... its probly best if it will help your breathing. |
