just because the guy has no problems with not showing restraint does not by any means mean that he is insecure or immature.
Obviously he was being honest about his feelings,regardless of his agenda...and i think honesty should be awarded not punished. Youre going to run into people like this probabally alot more in your life time,they are going to make similar comments...not just in regards to your physicalitys either. So you know what you should do? SUCK IT UP. Why let others opinions on your self affect you this much?Apparently you arent that secure in yourself,or are over sensitive...both of these traits are a weakness so I suggest you change them fast,and learn to be comfortable with yourself REGARDLESS of what ANYBODY SAYS. People skills are obviously not this guys strong point. Do him a favour and clue him in. If he doesn't respond favourably, his loss - He's lucky he's already got a wife! So long as YOU know that you rock, what he says shouldn't matter at all. It's never nice to hear, but building a resistance to negative critisism gives you a backbone. It's character building.
But the next time that fucker opens his mouth to utter somthing rude, slap the comment right of his face! Jerks.

australian guys are supposed to be notorious for being extremely rude to women. reminds me of a few incidents when i was there. haha
i remember while we were having lunch around bondi, this car stopped in the middle of the road and this chick stormed outta the passenger seat, then the guy in there chucked her purse at her face and the girl was like FUCK YOU!!! then the guy drove off. haha it was quite a scene!

^^^YES ive experenced many myself too lol. The worst was at a club and some aussie bloke came up to me and askes if I wanted to go home for a root with him. I luaghed hoping it was joke.
But he looked offended and didnt understand why I wouldnt. Even after I explined I had a boyfriend at the time. "well hes not hear is he, so who cares?" the bloke sugested. I went off trying to explain that you cant just walk up to women you just met and ask them to have sex with you. He just couldnt understand what was wrong with it. When in an other country and culture its very easy to get offended or offend other people. Especialy being female you have to watch what you wear in some countries and even put up with some very biast/shovanistic attitudes or treatings. The reality of the situation is that unfortunately, loosers like this exist everywhere. Although I don't know all the details of the situation, I can tell you that this will probably unfortunately be the first of many. Learn from the experience... if anything it is going to make you more thick skinned.
I am not saying what this dude did was appropriate, in fact it wasn't. He is a co-worker that you work with and although he is entitled to his own opinion, he has to have some tact about those types of topics. If this issue really bothers you, contact your Human Resources department at the company you work for or if they don't have one, then see your boss especially if you work with this idiot directly. If you do contact either of these types, come armed with some specific information as to what exactly was said, where, when and who else was around that heard it.

Telling someone to "shut the fuck up" is a rude comment. I can agree with Kraig, "take this as a learning experince" as there are plenty of wanking ass's out there. Although this doesn mean its ok to put up with it.
