its strange because ive seen both extremes.. my life used to be all about "feel sorry for me" "im so dejected" etc. etc. and now its all "look at me" "im great" and all that its not like im like that and proud, but sometimes i catch myself being really arrogant, or snobbish or selfish and i cringe because these are the human traits which disgust me the most |

I know what your saying, ive always thought of my self as a nice guy who was there for the people he cared about, but when i look back at things and certain things that people that have ment alot to me have said i realize that i have hurt people close to me without even recognizing it....that realization is something that has caused me quite a bit of emotional pain and i dont really know what i can do to prevent it from happening again.
but anyway fuck it, we should all medicate ourselves on extremely high does of anti-depressants so we dont have to worry about shit anymore....the fact that we are afforded the luxury of being able to be so introspective and self critical reflects on just how good our life is. |

You become the one thing you hate most because you have not opened your eyes and seen the oppourtunities you have had to change.
Only when you are comforatble with yourself and all of your own flaws can you only then see others for what they are. |

you know what's even more destructive? having a large ego and not knowing that you have a large ego. ego's seem to get in the way more when the people who have them don't realize that they have them.
if you know you have an ego (like everyone does) you can learn to harness it and control it. if you don't know you have it, then it runs wild and grows until it overshadows every other part of your personality. at least that won't happen to you. unless you let it, of course. |
