what is love?
i know love is indescribable
i know love is incredibley scary i know that there is no question.. if you think your in love.. then your not.. if you were, you'd know it. but what if it's past the mushy-honey-mooners era.. does it still feel the same? is it still butterflies in the tummy, so excited you can't hold still/stop smiling. or is it settled.. a deeper calmer feeling.. where you feel so comfortable with each other that it doesn't feel like your with anyone else.. just yourself.. there are no worries.. no outside thoughts.. when your together.. it's just like one person how do you know if what you feel is true? i'm not sure if this is coming out as well as it sounds in my head.. but i am just wondering what your opinions are on the topic |

but its probably one of the best yet most intense feelings in the world. p.s you know love is true when you can feel it, feel it deep within your chest long after the lust and infatuation has faded. and while you may feel love and geniuingly be in love it does not mean that you should be with that person or that the realtionship is going to work out in the end. Love does not conquer all but heartbreaks are alwasy an important learning experience. Last edited by SEAN!; Jul 19, 05 at 07:06 PM. |

Heh, good question. Considering that I've never been in love with any of the people I've dated, I suppose I myself will never know until I find someone to fall "in love" with.
In the meantime, love in friendship is more than satisfying for me. |

i think that there are tremendous amounts of aspects to love.
the first things that come to my head are being able to be completely myself which can sometimes result in being a big goof, something that i only show in front of really good friends and loved ones. understanding each others passions, accepting them, supporting them. having a sense of calm knowing that they are there in all senses. still getting excited and flustered when they walk into a room. mostly for me its like this big secret i have. cause no one knows whats it like to love him or be loved by him but me. no one knows what it feels like when we fit together or how my thumb fits perfectly in the little dent beside his eye just above his cheek. its being able to laugh for hours and hours about rediculous things together while enjoy a tub of ice cream and sour candies in bed. its being able to lie in bed all day and not feel like the day has been wasted because you've been together. i could go on. but truely i think love is defined differently for each person. everyone is fullfilled differently. |

Love is everchanging...and cannot be defined for it is felt and exspressed differently to each person, and has a variety of ranges in which it is used.
For example, the love i have for cheese is not the same as the love i have for words. Sometimes, i am so excited by somerthing, and i feel so strongly about it in a positive way that i will use the word love. Sometimes you dont know how else to exspress how strongly you like something so you say you LOVE IT. The love i have for my best friends and my family is unconditional but it would not be the same love i would have for my man. and the act of being 'in love' is not the same as loving ...and i cant say i know what being 'in love' feels like, because i mistook infatuation for love. Infatuation fades...love to me, is forever. And sometimes, even though you feel it, it is not enough....you can remain to love something even after you have let it go. Love is not easy, its complicated (clearly!) and sometimes you have to work at to (esp. when you are trying to love someone who does not love themself), sometimes it makes you do crazy things, say mean things and lose control...but it can also give you comfort, and trust and laughter...and so many other positve things that make the struggle worth while. "love means never having to say your sorry" haha <--- classic line! |

my definition of love is that everytime something in life makes you laugh or makes you sad your first thought is that you wish that other person was there to share it with you. |
