why not use both? be extra sure. considering either of them on their own has about a 1 in 50 chance of failure, and if they're long term you'll probably be having sex with them more than 30, seems like using both might be an alternative.

the other thing is that there's a lot more methods of birth control than just condoms and pill. depo shot, patch, diaphragm, and i keep hearing about this mystery male-bc pill that makes guys sterile or something.

I have been on it for 7 years. Lived with a guy for a year, and trust me, there was never a time when I said no 'I am not in the mood'. In fact, a lot of the time, I was the instigator.

I think that lack of sex drive is a mind over matter thing. It is all about your state of mind.

As convenient as depo is it's pretty bad for a girl. It increases their chance of getting osteoperosis. From all the information I have been given girls are only supposed to be on it for a maximum of 4-5 years, and lots of doctor's will not re-prescribed depo once that time is up (due to the osteperosis risk).
Depo kills sex drive? pfft, I call bullshit!! And I speak from experience. :p


PS. Boys wrap it up, unless she's allergic. heh. And make sure she's on the pill (or another form of birth control) if 'junior' isn't wearing a raincoat. :)

There are tonnes of alternatives to latex, albeit expensive ones. And I always have a few on hand just in case, but my new worry is expirey date! :S

As for the osteoperosis, as long as you take the proper supplements and ensure you are getting enough calcium along with the birth control on a daily basis, then you should prevent any side effects.

I hate taking the pill, I've never been able to find one that works with my body as opposed to 'against' it. :(

The best sex is without a condom LIKE THE FAWKEN BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!, so if I were in a serious relationship I wouldn't use one, but if it isn't a serious relationship then I would use one even though I hate them. That might be because I lost my virginity to a virgin with out a condom (stupid move but damn that was a fun day/night and I don't regret it).

But condoms are safe, everyone should use them.

90% of the time, when birth control of any kind doesn't work, it's because of human error.

IE, dude doesn't know how to put on a condom, chick forgets to take the pill.

If its a serious relationship my suggestion is for the girl to take the pill and if they don't want to have a child the guy should also use a condom.

If its just casual sex between two people then I suggest the guy uses a condom and the girl pops the morning after pill, just to be extra safe.

I'm personally not a big fan of condoms cause it takes away from the full 100% pleasure. The best condoms are Lifestyles, all the other brands feel weird. What I am a big fan of is sex on mdma, damn is that ever fun way better than regular sex.
