Mdma
As a former user I can definitely say this shit's bad news. So much pain and happiness intertwined in something so small. So colorful. Held within are equal parts utopia and suicide, in turn bringing about a whole new face. For the next few hours your soul disperses into the black mist, and nothing else exists. Sharply catapulted to a false reality, time is not time. The laws of the universe melt beneath your feet. Then silence is music and music is unbearable as you transform like a butterfly transforms. But you are not beautiful. You become the cocoon. An empty shell that manifests its poison among the real beauty of the world; white and motionless. Death itself creeps in and takes hold, however, you wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the scratches on your wrists. What is this place? This is not me. All you can do is wait and madly grasp for the hope that there is hope until your souls glowing warmth slowly aspires. Life's magnificent stain returns to your tattered lips, but a piece of the poison remains. The laws of the universe are back in play - what goes up, must come down...

that doesn't sound like any mdma i've ever taken... sure it wasn't something else... lol, jk... i understand you mean metophorically, and I agree that there is an upside and a downside to mdma... you just gotta realize that. it can be so good and so bad, so moderation (like always) is the key. just my 2 cents.

Electric, acoustic... w/e, I don't play peoples songs though, when I jam we just pick a key and giv'er.. A Aeolian is my fav. to jam in cuz its a bit darker and has some nice soulful notes in it. Yea spinning is something I only picked up recently comparatively

oh shit.. I don't know anything about modes or pentatonics or anything really. I learn the occasional song when I want to figure out how someone made it sound like they did, but other than that I try to write my own. I'm more chord struck, if I'm not jamming the blues. My music theory is sadly lacking.

yea man mine was too until I picked up the green Line 6 loop pedal, u can loop an infinite amount of loops up to 30 secs, so I would start out with somethin basic like a D C G chord progression and loop it and just jam over it in C Major (or A Minor, they're the same scale, different roots etc) and that's how I taught myself theory. best investment if ur really into guitar

I am, I am.. I just might pick that up sometime. I've found no point in just studying music theory when I could just figure out what sounds good by practicing. I doubt Neil Young ever picked up a book and said "oh, so that's how you play the key of D". Just my opinion though. How much did it cost? I'm not much into digital pedals though, I like the classic analog better. Much clearer sound, and the quality is well worth the money.

exactly! there's no point of just studying the music, you have to learn by playing it and see how it sounds and why it sounds like that. and i like analog too, but the point of the pedal (for me at least) is when no ones around i can totally bust out and jam by myself haha so im not worried about that one being digital

Hey, I'm going to have some of my own jam equipment to use as I please soon. Soundboard, amp, monitor(s), microphones, and hopefully a computer as well for recording. Maybe you'd be up for a jam sesh. I haven't met any younger musicians down here yet. Just something to think about.
