being tired
i wouldnt neccessarily say worn out, just being tired. it fucking blows.
im tired of being sick all the time - of not having the energy to do anything because i cant eat. im tired of not being able to go out for a nice dinner with the boyfriend. im tired of not being able to wear certain things because it causes me to be extremely uncomfertable. im tired of the pain. im tired of filling prescription after fucking prescription and having nothing change. im tired of trying to work with everyone to get better. im really tired of the guilt trip my mom tries to play saying that because im sick shes not sleeping well. (yes shes a mom, but seriously. get over it) im tired of waking up every hour wondering if im going to puke this time and maybe i should run to the bathroom just incase. im tired of waking up feeling hungover but not having had had anything to drink the night before. im tired of all the tests. im tired of being poked and proded like a fucking science experiment. my dad the chemo patient can walk farther then me, feels better then me most of the time - im tired of that. kudos to daddy, but im tired of being sick. im tired of my gp not listening to me, but having this whole "in\out" mentality of treating me - i cant get a word in edgewise to ask for a referal. i really wish i could afford to see my naturapath more often, hes great, but in some ways, im tired of going out there. im tired of paying outta my ass to see him, and im sick of it being a part of my life. i want to run again. i want to swim again. fuck i want to be able to paint for more then an hour before i feel too nautious to continue. alright im done being whiney. i got a cake to bake. |

if you're tired all the time, maybe try taking some iron supplements? I take vitamins every morning, because I generally miss meals every day.
I'm not sure exactly what your situation is, but it sounds worse than missing a few meals. Maybe chewing on a ginseng root will give you some energy? |

I think it would depend on the shake. I assume something with higher carbs would work better. |

carbs eh? im supposed to stay away from most foods with carbs, rice i can do although its still kinda hard for me digest. most carbs are really hard for me to eat - except for some odd reason oatmeal and other granola cereals. usually theyd be hard on the system. my doctor said i was fat and just needed to exercise today. she increased my medication, then told me to not take reactine when i get hives (i get them either due to my dry skin (fucking winter air) or my allergies to the freshly put out pollen) because i shouldnt become reliant on drugs. true enough, however, why are you making me reliant on them? refilling prescriptions that are not working or making even a slight difference doesnt seem right to me. but im not a doctor, all i can do is go with it. |

you don't have to sit there and let them jam all kinds of crap prescription drugs in you, that will just eventually make you worse off. that's the problem with doctors today, they aren't educated AT ALL with natural remodies. All they are educated about is fuckin garbage drugs that are pushed by powerful lobyists. What exactly is wrong with you maybe I can help direct you..?

woke up with the flu or what i thought was the flu in late august early septmeber. didnt go away. had pain right near my sternum and right side. eating became a chore as i would get nausious and have pain right away. i could feel everything i swallowed, and the only thing that didnt bother me was oatmeal.
then my abdomen bloated to the point of looking pregnant, and you could bounce quarters off it it was so tight. heat could be felt if you held your hand an inch away. i couldnt bend, stand up or wear pants that fit. now im not bloated, my abdomen doesnt hurt unless you push on it, my upper right side and sternum hurt emmensely when you push on them, and it makes me natious if you push any part of my tummy. if i roll over onto my stomach in my sleep or onto my right side i wake up in pain and in wonderment of whether or not i should make a dash to the toilette to throw up. im taking acidopholus (sp?) the good bacteria for my intestines, some pancreatine to help me digest and a mix pill that is full of things like licorice root, ginger all good stuff for your digestion\problems i have. also on a gross note, my stool has been everywhere from yellow to green to almost black back to yellow. i like to say that sunshine comes outta my ass. all the problems i have relate to liver\gall baldder, yet my doctor feels its just IBS. i take the relaxant pills, and they make my degestive track completely stop. i take the nausia pills and i still wake up like im hungover and feel sick the entire day. theres certain foods ive grown sensitive - mostly things that are obviously hard to digest, but the worst is meat. i love veggies and fruit, but im in no way a veggiterain. i have found alternatives, but its not the same. some days all i want to eat is a 8 oz steak. but it literally feels like im killing my inside if it do. any info is appreciated man. |

also heres some ideas that it could be:
- took two types of antibiotics back to back due to a bad uti - could have killed off the good bacteria in my tummy causing an upset. - bad virus that im havin trouble shakin off - gull bladder sludge rather then stones - doesnt show up on an ultrasound but can still clog up everything. personally if its anything i think that i killed off the bacteria in my tummy and it needs to recooperate. but fuck if i know. |

Acidophilus is wonderful.
I recommend taking vitamin B12 with iron as well, I've found a complex at shoppers drugmart (a stress pill mix I think) that has B12 and vit C. Your body need B12 in order to make hemoglobin which is what iron bonds to in your blood... (i think...) Personally the mix doesn't have enough iron in it so I take a straight iron pill everyother day or so as well. I don't know if you want to make the trek but I recommend going to Gaia Garden in kits. http://www.gaiagarden.com/ You can set up an appt to meet with a homeopath or clinical herbal specialist or even just going in and speaking to them they may recommend a tea or something. I've always found them extremely helpful and at this point it sounds as though your doctor is not helping you find the solution... they may be able to help?!? Have you tried going to a walk-in clinic and requesting a referral to a specialist? I've been forced to do it before. I had to research my specialist first and the dr just wrote it up. |

If you really want to get better stop seeing your doctor. Stop seeing any doctor. Stop taking western medicine at this point you know its not working and by continuing to take it it is only making things worse. I kind of had the same situation, where i was sick for about months last year right about the same time as now. Someone told me to go to a Chinese herbalist who they went to who is great. I didnt believe in it really but i gave it a try and he cured me and acutally made me feel better then i ever did. I dont have the exact address but he is in North Van right of the Second narrows bridge off of the main street in this little plaza. If your interested I can get you the address. Doesnt cost too much, you'll come out of there spending less then a 100 bucks but it will work at least.

^i've had a colonoscopy and im assuming from friends who have relatives with the disease that this is one of the ways for checking for it? or is it a blood test and a colonoscopy is more of a maintence test?
theres no family history of chrones, and from what i've heard its a very genetic disease. i had the colonoscopy because i displayed the same symptoms my dad had when he was diagnosed with colon cancer, and they wanted to make sure it wasnt that. whats that address to the herbalist? i would run it by my naturapath first as ive been receiving homiopathic things from him, but everythings worth a shot. a colonoscopy wouldn't be a definitive diagnostic tool as Crohn's can occur anywhere in the entire digestive system (not just the colon). yeah the blood tests can help to indicate if there's anemia or inflammation, but they can also do biopsies or upper GI swallows to determine if you have it.
