Is it really that uncommon?

I always wondered if it was really uncommon to cry during or after sex. I mean I've heard of it happening, but it always seemed really strange to me.
But in the last couple years I've had it happen to me, never during but afterwards, and only in a blue moon like once a year maybe.
It's as if a big knot of emotions is relaxed and sometimes it results in me crying. I'm not sad, and it's usually as a result of good sex not bad, and it actually feels really good to keep crying. But it can be totally hard to explain and freaky for your partner, because they don't know what the fuck is going on. It really wierded me out as well the first time because it’s kind of a strange reaction.



I was just wondering if anyone else has or does frequently experience this.
And how did your partner react when it happened. Or if you are the other person did it totaly freak you out? I find my bf still thinks its a bit strange, but as long as I let him know he hasn't done anything wrong he is ok with it.

I had a girlfriend a few years ago, while we were having a intense ugly-bumping session, she started to cry, I stopped and asked her if I had hurt her or something but she just said it was so good she coulden't help it.

Sometimes the sex can make you feel super emotional and you just start crying...a lot of girls (myself included) can be overwhelmed by the joy/emotion in general and cry. I think it's actually pretty common.

Yah I stopped worrying about it after the first time. My boyfriend was totally confused by it but now he just gives me a second and kind of laughs. It's only after we finish that it wells up and I start to cry. But it feels so good lol.

Yeah, she started laughing uncontrollably... I asked what the hell was so funny, but she informed me that it was so intense that she had to cry or laugh. She picked laughing as she figured it would be less awkward.

I always thought it was weird, too, until it happened to me!
Not during, but after a really intense love making session being snuggled up in my man's arms I remember being so overcome by emotions I just started crying. He was confused at first, until I explained that everything just felt THAT good. It's happened a couple of times since, but he doesn't seem to mind that I love him so much I cry :) Then again, we do have a very intense emotional relationship because we live so far apart, so when we are together everything is so much more intense.
