DEC.2: Nocturnal 10 Year with Erick Morillo & more @ The Docks, Toronto

NocturnalMagazine.net & The Docks present...

NOCTURNALMAGAZINE.net 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY FEATURING...

ERICK MORILLO (SubliminalRecords.com, ErickMorillo.com, NYC)

Erick Morillo has remixed everyone from Whitney Houston to Basement Jaxx to the Sneaker Pimps to Macy Gray. He runs the legendary Subliminal Records empire and has collaborated with the likes of Diddy, Louie Vega, and Audio Bullys. He's a platinum selling artist and has topped the charts worldwide as the producer behind Reel 2 Reel's hit 'I Like To Move It.' Raised in Colombia, then New Jersey, he's currently one of the most in-demand and instantly recognisable DJs in the world. Prepare for a night of musical bliss!

KURD MAVERICK (CR2 Records, Gian-Music.com, Germany)

Kurd Maverick began his DJ career in 1997 and was fascinated with house music's almost infinite sound structures. In 2002, Kurd's production career found instant success with 'Get Up'. Now 4 years later, Kurd has been dominating dancefloors worldwide with 'The Rub' on top UK label CR2 and his remix of Loleatta Holloway's smash 'Love Sensation' with partner Eddie Thonieck. We are pleased to debut this rising star for his first ever (and certainly not last) Toronto appearance!

RICHARD DINSDALE (Toolroom Records, myspace.com/RichardDinsdale UK)

House music: it's more than just a feeling and for young turk Richard Dinsdale, it's a way of life. Although only 24, this new kid on the house block's been living, breathing and bleeding dance music for the best part of a decade. His mouth-watering mix of tech-tinged electro and bass-heavy house is now a regular fixture at The Cross and his solid, groove-led productions have been snapped up by UK labels Renaissance, Kinky Vinyl and Mark Knight's Toolroom.

HATIRAS (BlowMedia.com, myspace.com/Hatiras, Toronto)

Hatiras is one of today's most influential electronic music producers and DJs. He is best known for his chart topping global smash 'Spaced Invader' and for running the cutting-edge record label Blow Media. He has also remixed artists such as Kylie Minogue on top labels including Sony, Universal, Ministry of Sound, IHR and Defected. Hatiras has been honoured with 2 Juno Awards, 5 nominations and a SOCAN Award for most radio play. He also hosts and produces the slammin' weekly radio program called 'Blow Media Radio' on Energy 105.1 FM and podcast worldwide!

PHANTASM (NocturnalMagazine.net, Toronto)

The buzz over Toronto's internationally renowned scene, to some extent, falls on the shoulders of DJ and magazine editor Andrew "Phantasm" Reid. Since its beginnings in 1996, Andrew has been behind the increasingly prominent Nocturnal Magazine.net, which has garnered worldwide recognition from superstar DJs, labels, and fans alike. His panache for the ultimate house beat, technical precision, and unique style of funky grooves, sexy vocals, and pumping beats are guaranteed to rock the dancefloor. If your passion is house music then Phantasm is your man.

SIMON JAIN (NocturnalMagazine.net, Gallery, ComfortZone, Club Phoenix, Toronto)

A virtual unknown in 2004, Simon has fervently taken on all comers to forge a unique musical identity that caused him to breakout in 2005. Known for his 'rockin' performances with a persona to match, it is no wonder he makes friends and fans alike wherever he roams. Behind the turntables his sound and style fused with his unending energy have earned him the respect and admiration of those on the dancefloor.

MACCA (BlowMedia.com, Juno Award Winner, Energy 105.1fm, Toronto)

STRETCH AND HOOKER (Dose, Dirty House Muzik, Toronto)

TOMMY GUNNERS (NocturnalMagazine.net, Backbreakers.ca, Toronto)

Inspired by the likes of Hawtinand Cox, Dj Domink, Czech and Dj Dan, Tommy Gunners has an eclectic mixing style fusing urban mixing techniques with techno, acid house, and breakbeats. Joining the Backbreakers crew in 2002 & Nocturnal Magazine.Net in 2003, for their online webzine as Breaks Representative and Music Columnist, Gunners is gaining speed in the Toronto electronic scene having been billed with such artists as DJ Dan, John Aquaviva, Rennie Pilgrem, Spence (dj Slim), Big League Chu, Chris Anderson, Stretch & Hooker, Jelo, Hyper, and Simply Jeff. With production work on the way for Backbreakers this is just the beginning of the Tommy Gunners sound. He know's how it should sound and how it has to be played...

P.Diddy was there with Morillo on stage with a host of "bitches". lol. it was a circus in there. Deked out early after Gunners' set, I love my house, but prefer my beats to be broken...
