DJ Bam Bam Techno / Hard House / Electronica - Chicago From continent to continent, this world-renowned music maker has done it all. For the last decade, DJ Bam Bam has been a major influential player in the ever-progressing global music scene, as we know it. Whether it's his live display of hard beats and ill-flavored turntable tricks or the musically embraced blend of jackin' grooves he will continue to produce in the studio, Bam Bam has proven himself to be a household name and is guaranteed to satisfy. With the establishment of his brand new record label, Bass Heavy Music, we can all rest assure that there will always be an outlet for those Chicago-bred jackin' beats that so many others attempt to duplicate. With worldwide success of his label's first release featuring Alex Peace, titled "Here It Comes," it is apparent that Bam Bam will continue to dominate the realm of the hard, the bumpin', and the jack!! HERE IT COMES!! http://www.myspace.com/djbambam http://www.djbambam.com/ Deko-ze Tribal / House / Techno - Toronto Born in England, but raised in Canada, Michael ‘Deko-ze’ Babb launched his career in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 1991, he took up his first DJ residency at a local gay bar called "Numbers" (later renamed “Divas"). He went on to co-create / co-own a highly regarded nightclub / production company called “Plastic Puppet Motive” (PPM). Having establishing himself as western Canada's most successful DJ, Deko-ze relocated to Toronto, Ontario in late 1997. Long a leading force in the local scene, both NOW Magazine and Toronto DJ Festival have named him “best electronic DJ”. He has been labeled "Canada's hardest working DJ"; frequently playing gigs in nearly every Canadian centre — big and small! Building his international profile, Deko-ze has numerous gigs in the USA, UK, Germany, Taiwan and Mexico under his belt. Deko-ze was signed to a multi-year artist / producer development deal with Hi-Bias Records in 2006. Deko-ze regards electronic music as an art-form; a natural extension of his classical training in piano. He believes music should induce a wide range of emotional response, but ultimately programs to create energy and positivity. In a scene now overly segmented, Deko-ze is increasingly distinctive: although categorized as a House DJ, he is recognized for his ability to fuse music of multiple genres (deep, funky & hard house; tribal; progressive; electro; tech-trance; techno). Deko-ze's energetic and charismatic stage presence, engaging personality, strong technical skills, and original approach to programming have uniquely cultivated a huge following in both the gay and straight scenes. http://www.deko-ze.com Dj Missy Chrissy Trance / Progressive / Breakbeat - Vancouver "Music has always been a major part of Chrissy's life. She is the third generation to be born and raised in beautiful West Vancouver, BC. She has always been extremely musically independent. Teaching herself to play the piano at the age of 3 years old, all musical things have always come naturally to her. At age 14 she taught herself to play guitar, and began playing in her highschool's band "Backstage", where she sang and performed at lunch hour in the school's main entrance. After moving to Prince George after graduation in 1999, she attended UNBC, where she met many people who were into the dj'ing and techno scene up north. Many of her friends owned Techs, so she spent alot of time watching and learning from all the surrounding people who played records. In 2000, Chrissy found two old turntables at value village, and bought an old mixer from a friend, and slowly but surely taught herself the basics of how to (poorly) mix two records together. After upgrading equipment a few months later, her passion was house and speed garage. Everything finally clicked. She got her first gig in the summer of 2001, and after that, there was no stopping her. Chrissy entered herself into many local dj contests at the local clubs, coming in 4th in her first contest and hitting 3rd place a few months later. After playing for many local production companies, the Northern scene began to slow down, and Chrissy decided it was time to start her own scene. Missy Productions began in 2002 with her first show, and shortly after, Missy Productions was one of the leading companies in Northern BC for electronic music and dj's. With resident dj's such as Grooverobber, Monte Martens and Lando, Missy Productions had it's last show in on New Years 2004 - with over 1,000 people in attendance. Chrissy moved back to Vancouver in 2004, where she broke through the Vancouver scene with her first "Missy Productions" stage at Apex 2004. With a growing reputation from her first show, she contributed to the local scene by helping with nights at Tribecca restaurant, as well as playing for huge Vancouver-based promoters, Evolve Entertainment, Unconscious Bros, Slapfunk All-Stars and PH1. www.myspace.com/soundgirls DJ Drafted Jungle / Drum & Bass / Breakbeat - Vancouver Dj Drafted (Tyson Pekarek), co-founder of Soundgirls, and long time member of Future Roots (An international collective of artists dedicated to furthing the drum n bass scene). Drafted was born with an affinity for drum and bass music. In 2001, he became involved in hip-hop culture within Vancouver, and organized several breakdancing competitions, which eventually led him into the rave scene. Starting his own production company “Black Crack Entertainment”, based out of Edmonton, Alberta, he began his venture into the Drum and Bass scene. Black Crack Entertainment’s focus was showcasing talent based out of Edmonton and headliners from his hometown of Vancouver, BC. After relocating himself back to the west coast, his career began to soar. Playing alongside international talent such as Shy Fx, Skibadee, John.B, Sub-Focus, Shimon, Capital J, Chase and Status, Reid Speed, Freaky Flow, Psidream, TZA, Slip N Slide, Demolition Man, and local heros such as Slim Pickins, Pete Flex, Krusha, and Pacific, just to name a few. Drafted has proven himself to be one Vancouver’s floor running Dj’s, with unique and abstract mixes he continues to set off any dance floor he leads. Discovering not only a love for jungle, but an outstanding talent in all aspects of break beats. http://www.myspace.com/tysoncombat we have been working on this party for a long time and its gona be worth it in the end. and we will be giveing away free tickets :P to this show at every spin saturday at walkers night club up until june. see you all out at the shows.
