THE GIRLS

Born in 2004 on a ferry ride to Vancouver, Mama Miche & Kenzie Clarke have since been bringing the Bitchin' sound to venues all along the West Coast of Canada and around the World. Having touched down in the UK for Glade Festival 2006 as well as graced stages in Spain, The Caymen Islands, Miami, Vegas and Honolulu – these ladies know how to throw it down.

Connecting in Victoria BC with individual DJ careers well underway (over 16 years experience shared between them) the union of Miche's funky breakbeats and Kenzie's harder techy styles was the perfect infusion to demolish dancefloors everywhere and create something that was truly Bitchin'

Even with the girls now living in separate cities in Canada, Kenzie in
Victoria and Miche in Calgary – the sound remains the same. Through
Miche's booking agency Mother's Cupboard, both women DJ and promote regular club events with the industries leading Artist's, tour regularly and hold a weekly show on NSB Radio out of the UK every Sunday. These women also boast a much in demand residency at Canada’s famed Shambhala Music Festival and in summer 2008 will be sharing a slot on the Renegade Soundsystem Stage at Soundwave.

With Miche focusing on the business side of the industry managing tours and bookings for many top breakbeat and electro house Artist’s, Kenzie can be found in the studio creating the Bitchin’ sound alongside top producers. The combination is a powerful explosion of beats and bass with grit, style and grace.

THE BOYS:

These boys are a permanent fixture in the Vancouver Breakbeat scene and collectively have been DJ’ing for over 17 years – Precise’s roots are as a Hip-Hop turntablist having won numerous local competitions such as DJ Soundwars, placing runner up in the DMC’s and ITF DJ battles in the years 97 through 99 and he was invited to compete in the nationals as well. Kraig loves all things funky and has been dropping sets of Breakbeats, soul, funk and vocal House music fused with live percussion all around Vancity at hundreds of clubs and parties, in Alberta and most recently Los Angeles, CA.

Put these two together, and you’ve got a DJ set full of party rockin Funky and Electro Breaks fused with old skool Hip Hop and the elements of turntablism and live percussion added to the mix. There is a reason that these two played alongside the biggest in the biz: Krafty Kuts, The Freestylers, Atomic Hooligan, A. Skillz, The Bassbin Twins, Fort Knox Five, The DrumAttic Twins, The Rogue Element, Kid Kenobi, Aquasky, DJ Icey, DJ Dopey, A-Trak, Dig-Dug, Big League Chu, Czech, Vinyl Ritchie, DJ Fixx, Sharaz, Tony Faline, Matt the Alien, Myagi and the Smalltown DJs…
